Fr. Edmundo Paredes
Pastor of St. Cecila’s in Oak Cliff for 27 years. Member of the Priest Personnel Board per the 2009 Catholic Directory. The Diocese announced in 8/2018 that Paredes was being investigated after allegations in 2/2018 that he had molested three teenage boys over 10 years prior. He was investigated in 2017 after allegations that he stole from the parish; he admitted to financial misconduct and was suspended in 6/2017. Fled at that time, possibly to his native Philippines. An arrest warrant was issued in 1/2019 after a fourth accuser surfaced. Included on the Diocese’s list 1/31/2019. In 5/2019 Dallas police raided diocesan headquarters and other church properties; the raid was related to the Paredes case, and four others.
