Fr. Lawrence O. Peguero
Monsignor. Accused in a civil suit filed 6/30/10 of molesting three sisters, one as young as age 4, and their brother in the 1970s. Pegureo was assigned to Our Lady of St. John’s in Houston at the time. He is said to have used threats, including that he would to kill their sisters. The siblings complained to the Church in 2007. They were offered, but refused, church-sponsored counseling. Peguero retired in 1993 and died in 11/00 at age 79. Another woman filed suit in 11/10 claiming abuse in the 1960s.
