One of several assigned to Santa Barbara who were named as abusers in civil suit filed 8/08, which alleged that the Franciscans constituted “an ongoing public nuisance as a result of their practice of shuttling pedophile priests among communities without warning members of the public that a sexual predator might be in their midst.” Abuse allegedly took place 1970s-80s. On the Franciscans Santa Barbara Province list 5/31/19. It notes abuse of a minor 1972-75, reported in 1993. Removed from ministry, put on a safety plan. On the Oakland diocese’s list in 2019. On the Stockton diocese’s list 11/12/20, noting he was assigned there 1964-65.
