Fr. Leo Alfred Shea
In 1994 Shea pled guilty to assaulting a 14- year-old; sentenced to 3-6 years prison. Released on parole 1997 and “retired.” Multiple other accusers. A man filed a civil suit in 1993. Accused in 2002 civil suits of abusing two boys. Claims by six people included in 10/02 settlement with the diocese. Another settlement in 11/02 included at least one claim. Privileges were permanently removed. Per diocese’s list 7/31/19, assigned to a life of prayer and penance. Died in 10/08.
