Sisters of St. Francis of the Mission of the Immaculate Virgin. Accused in a lawsuit filed on 8/14/2019 of sexually, physically, and emotionally abusing a girl at the The Mission of the Immaculate Virgin at Mount Loretto orphanage. The girl was a resident of the orphanage 1953-1967. She also alleged sexual abuse by Sisters Helen, Sister Juanita, and Father Horry. Sister Virginia Marie is also accused of severely beating the plaintiff’s sister, a resident 1952-1955, once so severely that the girl had convulsions and needed transport by ambulance, and of physically and emotionally abusing a boy, resident 1953-1967.
