Fr. Edward J. Walker
Monsignor. First revealed on 3/20/2018 diocesan list as removed, retired, or having left ministry after allegations of sexual abuse of a minor. Died in 2002; diocesan list includes deceased priests only if they have more than one allegation. Accused in a lawsuit filed in 8/2019 under the NY Child Victims Act of molesting a boy for a decade, beginning when the boy was age 12 in 1953 and Walker was assigned to St. Joseph’s in Fredonia. One man said he reported his abuse in 1999 and the diocese “vehemently denied it” until a second person came forward.
