Fr. Thomas J. Zedar
Named publicly as accused on the diocese’s list 12/3/18. Ordained for Syracuse diocese. Worked in Diocese of Venice FL 10/88–06. Incardinated into Venice diocese 1/92. Per obit, Zedar retired 9/8/06. Died 2/8/09. Accused along with two other priests in a lawsuit filed in 6/20 under the NY Child Victims Act of sexually abusing a boy. The abuse by Zedar allegedly began in the 1970s when the boy was a Seton Catholic Central High School junior, and included rape.
