Fr. Thomas J. Zedar

Named publicly as accused on the Diocese’s list 12/3/2018. Ordained for the Syracuse diocese. Worked in the Diocese of Venice FL 10/1988-2006, where he was incardinated in 1/1992. Per his obituary, Zedar retired 9/8/2006 and died 2/8/2009. Accused along with two other priests in a lawsuit filed in 6/2020 under the NY Child Victims Act of sexually abusing a boy. The abuse by Zedar allegedly began in the 1970s when the boy was a Seton Catholic Central High School junior, and included rape.
