Ex-nun, left her order in 1979. Accused in a 2/8/1996 suit of sexually abusing a boy, ages 12-17, beginning in 1987. The boy was a student at St. Frances de Chantal in the Bronx when the abuse began, and Baisi was his teacher. The school was staffed by the Sisters of Divine Compassion. In 1995, the complainant mentioned the abuse to a counselor, who reported it to authorities. Baisi was suspended from her role as principal of St. Frances in 1996 when the suit was filed. She admitted the abuse in taped conversations with the victim. Her attorney and the judge stated that she had effectively admitted to the charges.
