COLUMBUS, Ohio —
A Columbus Priest accused of soliciting sex from a minor online is expected to appear in court Thursday afternoon and plead guilty.
Patrick Hughes, 56, was arrested and charged with attempted rape and attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m., and according to a release from the Franklin County prosecutor, Hughes is expected to waive his right to indictment followed by the filing of a bill of information, and subsequent guilty to plea to the bill of information.
Detectives said Hughes allegedly posted an ad on an adult social networking site, looking for sexual relations with children. A detective responded to the ad and began communicating with Hughes.
