Accused in a 1/03 lawsuit of abusing a boy 1967-70 at St. Peter’s in Keokuk, starting when the boy was age 8. Spent first two years of ministry at St. Peter’s, then was a hospital chaplain for most of the 1930s. Army Reserve chaplain 1942-46 and then a hospital chaplain again. Pastor of St. Elizabeth’s in Harper 1949-63, returned to pastor St. Peter’s in Keokuk 1963-78. Retired 1978. Died 6/11/89. Suit dismissed because of Diamond’s death and lack of evidence, per the diocese. Not on 7/08 list of credibly accused priests. Review Board deemed allegations not credible 11/03.
