Fronczyk aka Franczak aka Fronczak. Our Lady of Pompeii in Lancaster pastor when placed on leave in 10/15 for unspecified reasons. Denied misconduct. After a 6/18 publicity, a woman told the Buffalo News that Fronczak fondled her repeatedly when she was ages 9-12 in the 1990s, at St. Stephen’s on Grand Island. Also per news in 6/18, a couple told the diocese in 2003 that Fronczak showed inappropriate behavior toward their 3-year-old daughter. They said the diocese said they would look into it, but heard nothing more. Diocese said in 6/18 the allegations were substantiated. To remain on leave pending Vatican decision. Accused in a lawsuit 8/19 of abuse of a child, age 10-11, in 1986-88 while assigned to a Lockport parish. Removed from diocesan payroll 5/1/20 as part of a bankruptcy agreement. Added to diocese’s list of credibly accused.
