Fr. James Cairnan Haggerty
Joined the Franciscan Order in 1950. Among his assignments were teacher, guidance counselor, assistant principal, and principal of Archbishop Walsh High School in Olean NY. From 1969-1974 Haggerty was director of youth retreats at Christ House in Lafayette, NJ. He also worked in Washington D.C., Brookline MA, Tampa FL and Butler NJ. He died 2/7/1991. In 6/2018 the Diocese reviewed an allegation from a man against Haggerty. The allegation was made public in 4/2019 by a news outlet.
