Sr. Benen Kent
Given name Margaret Agnes. Took first vows in 1938. Accused in a 2005 suit by a woman of abuse when she was a child 1962-1967. Two more women filed suit in 2006. They claim the order knew Kent was mentally ill and had behaved questionably with children. Allegedly abused in Chicago IL and MN. Died in 2003. In 4/2007 a Court dismissed one suit due to the statute of limitations, parts of a second and left the third intact. Court of Appeals upheld the dismissal 4/30/2008. Claims settled in 9/2008. Two women received $400K. Other accusers have come forward. Accused in a lawsuit filed in Winona MN in 4/2016 of the sexual abuse of two minors 1958-1961.
