Fr. Michael K. Madden
Faculties revoked in 4/1988. Resigned as pastor of St. Paul ‘s in Barton 7/12/1988. Convicted in 1989 for lewd conduct with a boy. Authorities knew of other victims over a 20-year period. Sentenced to probation for five years. Violated probation at least six times. Ended up serving two years in prison. Civil trial in 1994; ordered to pay victim $175K. A second suit was filed in 2003. Died 9/10/2000, while vacationing in Austria. Included on the Diocese’s list of credibly accused 8/22/2019.
