Fr. Richard J. Mieliwocki
Accused in 1994 of the sexual abuse of two boys in 1988. Placed on leave and ordered to undergo counseling. Disappeared. Employed as a clinical social worker. His state license was suspended in 1999 for improper behavior with a minor. Arrested 2004 and accused of the abuse of four teenage boys, ages 16-18, at an in-patient substance abuse rehabilitation facility. Forced to surrender his license. Pleaded guilty in a plea bargain to two counts 8/21/2007. Sentenced in 9/2007 to 5 years probation and community service. Laicization announced 9/3/2013. Included 2/13/2019 on the Archdiocese’s list of credibly accused.
