Fr. James Michael Taylor
Assigned to St. Kateri Tekakwitha parish in Niskayuna when arrested 4/22/14. Charged with endangering welfare of a child for inappropriate physical contact, telephone calls, text messages and photos with a 15-year-old girl between 10/13 and 4/14. He met the girl while Deacon and Youth Minister for Corpus Christi parish in Clifton Park, NY. Her parents contacted police when they learned of his actions. Was also U.S. Army captain. Pled guilty 8/13/14 to endangering welfare of a child. Accepted plea deal, avoided jail.
