Fr. Francis X. Trauger
Accused of abuse of two or three boys in early 1980s and another in 1991. Allegedly took boys on overnight trips, shared a bed with them. Removed in 2003. Laicized 5/20/05. Named in at least two civil suits. Name included on secret 1994 memo from Msgr. Lynn (released 2/27/12) regarding priests in secret archives who were accused of abuse but no credible evidence found. In 2012 two men testified in Msgr. Lynn’s trial about abuse by Trauger. Accused in new suit filed 9/18/12. Charged in 9/19 with abuse of two Tullytown altar boys, ages 11 and 12, one in 1996 and the other in 2000. Living in Brooklyn NY in 9/19. Suit filed 12/19. Pled gulty in 7/20. Sentenced to 18-36 months in state prison and 7 years probation.
