Priest of the Diocese of Ciudad Quesada, Costa Rica. Accused of molesting an altar boy. Treated at Casa Alberione, Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, México. Charged in Costa Rica with abuse of a child in 1994 and a became a fugitive in 1998. Fled to New York. Worked as a priest in New York and Hartford. Fled to México in 2002, then Honduras before disappearing again in March 2003, shortly before an international arrest warrant was issued for him. In 2004, a second Costa Rican youth accused Vásquez. Convicted in absentia in 2005 by a Costa Rican court and sentenced to 12 years in prison. Arrested in Honduras in 4/2007, and handed over to Interpol.
