Removed from ministry in 1992 after hew was seen on a 30 minute segment of a videotape having sex with a boy. He had donated the tape to a garage sale. When police arrested him, he was destroying pictures of boys. Sentenced to four years prison in 1993 in Illinois and similar sentence in Indiana. Released from prison in 1995. At least four suits settled by 11/1995. Included in 4/2006 on the diocese’s list of credibly accused. One victim is known to have died by suicide 20 years after the abuse. White died in 2012. Named in new civil suit 5/2013. One of five priests named in $4.137 million suit settled 4/2015. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General’s Report, which notes at least 11 “reported survivors.”
