Fr. Michael Dominic Ledoux
Assigned to St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Derry, NH 4/1986-9/1989. Worked in Pittsburgh, PA 1993-2000. Accused in 1/2003 of sexually abusing a boy in 1987 or 1988. There was allegedly attempted oral sex, occurring in NH and MA. The accuser filed a claim, which settled. Ledoux denied the allegation; the Order deemed the allegation credible. The Manchester Diocese learned that the Franciscans knew of the allegation in 2002 but didn’t tell them. Lenoux worked as a dean at Widener University for nine years until summer 2012, when officials learned of the earlier allegation. He resigned rather than being placed on leave.

Our Database of Publicly Accused does not state or imply that individuals facing allegations are guilty of a crime or liable for civil claims. The reports contained in the database are merely allegations. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements. For more information, see our posting policy.
