Died in 1997. Accused in 2002 by at least two men of abusing them when they were boys. He allegedly gave them beer and wine, took them on trips to Las Vegas and molested them. Ruffalo was also accused of stealing from collections. He was over $95K in debt when he died. One man filed a civil suit 1998 which later settled. Two more plaintiffs filed suit in 2003. A fourth man came forward in 2006. Ruffalo’s name was included on the diocese’s 4/2006 list of credibly accused. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General’s Report
