Fr. Raymond Francisco Schulte
Per the Abbey Abuse Disclosure Project, one alleged victim made a statement in 9/2002 that Schulte sexually molested him in 10/1988. Schulte was also accused of knowing about abuse by Dunstan Moorse and John Kelly. He was supposedly living a restricted lifestyle at St. John’s but traveled frequently, including to Italy. Named in a lawsuit in 5/18/2010 by two brothers claiming abuse in 1984-1986. The suit settled in 3/2011 with other claims against the Abbey. A new suit was filed in Puerto Rico in 4/2011. Schulte’s name was included on the Abbey’s list 12/9/2013 and the St. Cloud Abbey’s list 1/3/2014. On the Raleigh diocese’s list in 10/2018, which notes a report in 1992 of abuse in 1985 in the Raleigh diocese.
