Permanently removed from active ministry by the diocese 2/23/2010 after substantiated allegations that he had abused a 14-year-old boy in 1981, while assigned to Assumption parish in Atco. Diocese had denied knowing of any other claims against Sullivan. Died in 4/2011. Accused by a 29-year-old man in a 5/2019 lawsuit of sexually abusing him almost daily as a boy 1996-2001 at St. James in Ventnor, beginning when he was age 7. The suit claims other boys were victimized as well. On diocese’s list 2/13/2019.
