A/k/a Roland Melody. Confessed in 1987 to abusing a girl for three years, while an active duty Navy chaplain. Sentenced to a 20-year suspended sentence and 10 years probation. Also 5 years therapy. Privileges suspended 1988. Per a 10/03 news article, Melody had been dismissed from the Navy and the priesthood, still claiming innocence. He married a female Navy chaplain. Named publicly as accused on the Wheeling-Charleston diocese's list in late 2018. It notes an allegation received 2/12/86 of abuse between 1979 and 1985. Tague was assigned to St. Joan of Arc parish in Wheeling 7/64-9/85. He left the diocese 9/20/85 and died 6/3/03.
Accused in a 6/02 lawsuit of abusing two boys who were members of the Little Martins, a touring singing group of Hispanic boys. As of 2002, Van Trieste, 87, was in a Maryland nursing home with dementia. Three additional men joined in the suit in 9/02. Died 4/5/07.
