Fr. Daniel C. Clark
Removed from ministry in 1988 after pleading guilty to having abused two boys in the early 1980s. Sentenced to 15 years’ probation and 90 days in jail. Allowed to volunteer and wear clerical collar. Litigation settled in 1989 and 1997. Named in 19 lawsuits in 2002-2003, of which 18 settled in 6/2003 and one in 4/2006. Convicted in 2003 of abusing two brothers, starting when they were ages 11 and 12, from 1998 to 5/2002. Sentenced to 10 years in prison. Laicization announced in 11/2004. Sentence overturned in 5/2007. Pleaded guilty in 11/2007 in return for release from prison, with 5 years’ probation and 5 years’ court supervision. Included on the archdiocese’s list of accused in 2019.
