But anyone who, in a crisis in which original documents play a decisive role and are usually under lock and key, takes the trouble to bring together tangible original documents, to archive them professionally, and to make them accessible online, is undoubtedly exactly that: a key figure, without whom survivors, researchers, and media professionals in their confrontation with the crisis are nowhere near as far along as they are today.
