Removed 6/12 from parish after complaint of misconduct with two minors. Arrested 6/22/12 on charges of sexual assault. One youth told police abuse was over two years. Criminal charges filed 9/12. Child porn charges filed 10/12. Pled guilty 11/8/12. Permanently removed 11/12. Sentenced to 5 years prison 2/1/13. New suit 1/30/14. Information from personnel file released 3/31/14. Charged 11/14 with sex assault in WI. Laicized 3/15. County criminally charged archdiocese 6/5/15 for failing to protect children in Wehmeyer’s abuse of three minors. Civil motion filed also; settled 12/15. Charges dropped vs archd 7/16 in settlement agreement. Archdiocese admitted wrongdoing. Three brothers abused by Wehmeyer filed suit vs the Vatican in 5/19.
