Fr. Paul M. Clogan
Had lived in TX, married. Ordained at age 66 for the Diocese of Portland, ME after his wife died. Returned to TX. Worked in Diocese of Austin beginning 1/01. Arrested 2005 in TX, charged with groping a 16-year-old boy in a movie theater. Criminal trial in 9/08 ended in mistrial. New trial was to be held 12/08, but did not take place. Died in Austin 7/29/12. On diocese's list 1/31/19.

Fr. Daniel Joseph Delaney
In 11/03 R. Scamardo, the former chief counsel for the Diocese of Galveston-Houston, announced that he had been abused in 1975 by Delaney, former director for youth ministry for the Austin diocese. Scamardo told Austin Bishop of his allegations and requested in-patient treatment. Matter settled in 10/03 for $250K and counseling fees. Delaney laicized in 1987 "for behavior problems." Bishop admitted he had heard from other victims. Another suit filed 5/04. Died in 2008. On Austin diocese's list 1/31/19.

Fr. Daniel Michael Drinan
Removed in 5/2002 after a complaint of inappropriate behavior with a minor. Charged with misdemeanor assault not involving sexual contact or injuries to child. Paid fine; no jail. Bishop refused to return him to ministry because of incident and past issues discovered during investigation. Worked in Reno, NV in 2005 at drug rehab facility for paroled prisoners. Removed from ministry by Order in 2006. Arrested 9/9/2012 in Denver airport after viewing porn on laptop and masturbating during flight. Pled guilty 12/11/2012; sentenced to two years' probation. Laicized in 2014. On Baton Rouge diocese's list in early 2019. It notes report in 3/2003 of abuse in the late 1970s while assigned to Christ the King in Baton Rouge. Left diocese in 1979. On Austin diocese's list 1/31/2019. On Chicago archdiocese's list in 10/2022. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report.

Fr. Milton Eggerling
Ordained for the Sioux Falls SD diocese. Worked in a number of archdioceses and dioceses: St. Paul-Minneapolis, Bismarck ND, Oakland CA, Austin TX, San Jose CA, Lima Peru via the Boston-based Society of St. John the Apostle, and Boston MA. Accused in a 3/2016 lawsuit of sexually abusing a boy over five years, beginning when the boy was an 11-year-old student and altar server at St. Louis parish in Austin in the 1970s. Eggerling was assigned to Austin 1973-1979. He reportedly plied the boy with alcohol and took him on trips. He died 2/29/2008, per the 2009 Official Catholic Directory. Included on the Sioux Falls diocese's list 3/21/2019 (it erroneously notes his death dated as 3/7/2008). On the Austin diocese's list 1/31/2019.

Included in 2020 on the Diocese of Little Rock's list, where he was assigned to St. Bartholomew 1929-1946. Included on the Divine Word Missionaries Southern Province list which notes Kinder was transferred to the US in 1925, was in East Troy WI 1947, joined the Southern Province in 1950 and in 1954 became a priest of the Diocese of Austin TX.
Fr. Michael Francis Krol
Ordained for the Diocese of Austin. Named publicly as accused on Austin's list 1/31/2019. Included on the Norwich diocese's list 2/22/2019. It notes he left the diocese in 1963. Also worked or lived in Brooklyn NY, Chicago IL, Jacarezinho Brazil, London, UK, Runge TX, Enid OK, Sayre OK, Lamar CO, New London CT. Died in 1996. Included in the CO Attorney General's report 10/22/2019 (as Michael J.), which notes abuse in the Pueblo diocese of three teenage boys in 1962, each reported the same year to the diocese. Pueblo had accepted Krol in 1961, despite information from the Brooklyn diocese about his abuse of boys. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report.

Fr. C. Richard Nowery
Accused in 1986 of sexually abusing two boys in Austin, TX. Sent for treatment then approved for return to ministry. Worked for the order for eight years recruiting and guiding new members, with no unsupervised access to children. Assigned in 1994 to a New Orleans parish where he was made pastor in 1995. Placed on leave in 2002 after review of personnel file. Officials there said they had no knowledge of his past. On New Orleans archdiocese's list 11/2/18. Died in 2018. Fr. James R. O’Connor
A man filed civil suit 12/03 alleging sexual abuse as a child by O'Connor 1969-71, at St. Mary's in Waco, TX. Another man filed suit in 3/16, accusing O'Connor of sexually assaulting him as a child. He said the priest cornered him at school and shoved his hands down his [the boy's] shorts. The diocese stated in 3/16 that O'Connor was removed from ministry in 12/03, but remained a priest of the diocese. Laicized 2018. On the diocese's list 1/31/19.
Fr. Anthony Odiong
Priest of the Diocese of Uyo, Nigeria. Arrested 7/16/2024 in Ave Maria, FL, where he was living. Charged with possession of child abuse images, of little girls. Odiong was being investigated by law enforcement in Waco, TX after a woman reported in 3/2024 that he sexually assaulted her in 2012. A civil lawsuit was filed against the Diocese of Austin and Odiong. Odiong is the subject of complaints from multiple women, two from his time as director of campus ministry at St. Peter Catholic Student Center at Baylor University in Waco, where he was assigned 2007-2015. He was also assigned 2007-2012 to St. Mary of the Assumption in West TX. Barred from ministry in 2019 by the Diocese of Austin. The Archdiocese of New Orleans was informed; Odiong continued ministry there, at a Luling LA parish, until his dismissal in 12/2023. The bishop from his home diocese in Nigeria ordered his return; Odiong did not comply. He denied all allegations. On 7/18/2024 Odiong was charged by Waco police with two counts of sexual assault. Eight women had come forward with allegations against him. Indicted on those charges in 9/2024. Child pornography charges were pending. Four more charges were filed 9/26/2024 for a total of 7, with 10 alleged victims identified. In 11/2024 it was reported that Odiong had allegedly fathered at least two children with his victims; DNA evidence showed that one of the children was born within the year. Two additional alleged victims were identified on 11/26/2024. In 4/2026 the TX District Attorney's office prosecuting Odiong sought to consolidate three cases of abuse of vulnerable women into one trial, set for 5/4/2026. The request was granted and the trial postponed.

Longinus "Lonnie" Juventius Reyes. Vice Chancellor of diocese 1973-75, Chancellor 1975-86. Admitted in 2004 to sexual 'relationship' with a girl, ages 16-18, in the 1970s. Resigned from ministry. Placed on permanent leave. Given retirement status. The woman had recently reported the matter. Diocese investigated possibility of two more victims and said that there were also inappropriate relationships with adult women. On Austin diocese's list 1/31/19.
