Fr. Mario Pezzotti

From Italy. Accused of molesting students at Xaverian Missionary Faith High School in Holliston MA beginning in 1959 and until the early 1970s. Former students came forward with allegations in 1993. Pezzotti was in Brazil in 1993, where he had been working in the Amazon since the early 1970s with Kayapo Indian children and supervising priests. He apologized to a MA victim in a note sometime before he came forward in 1993. A civil suit was filed in 1993. The Order admitted to knowledge of two other claims. In 2002 a woman said she also had been molested by Pezzotti in the early 1970s. Pezzotti returned to Italy in 2003, and went again to Brazil in 2008. This stay was shortened when the victim to whom Pezzotti had apologized saw him with Kayapo children in an internet photo and complained to the Xaverians. Pezzotti was known in 2010 to be living and working at Xaverian headquarters in Parma, Italy.
