Ordained in 1978 at age 40 for the Diocese of Lansing. Had previously been a high school teacher. Appointed in 1984 to the position of vice charge of the Holy See at the Notre Dame Jerusalem Center in Jerusalem, meant to be a five-year commitment. Appointed in 7/1986 by Bishop Povish as diocesan representative to the Catholic Charismatic Renewal; was as at the time a Lansing Catholic Central faculty member. Moved to the Diocese of Wurzburg in Germany in 1989, where he was incardinated. Returned to Lansing in 2004 and was re-incardinated. In 2005 an employee of Holy Spirit Parish in Hamburg MI, where Thomas was pastor, discovered child abuse images on a rectory computer, with multiple related websites listed and evidence of substantial time spent on the sites. One of the websites allegedly showed "boys being violated by men for the first time." Thomas was placed on leave in 10/2005. He told the bishop that he was looking at the images for "research." In 11/2005 the bishop sent a "Graviora Delicta" (Grave Offenses) to the Vatican's CDF. Thomas moved to his cottage in the Diocese of Gaylord. Police found in their investigation that the computer's hard drive had been "cleansed." There was no criminal prosecution. Separately, a woman expressed concern to the Diocese that her 16-year-old son was being groomed by Thomas; the boy had keys to the rectory where he spent some nights and was given gifts and school tuition by Thomas. Thomas remained on leave of absence and still held the title of pastor of Holy Spirit when he died of Legionnaire's disease 7/23/2007, during a trip to Germany. His congregation was never informed as to the reason he was on leave.

Accused of sexual abuse of at least one minor. Included on the Helena diocese's list, posted to its website 4/29/2015 in compliance with the non- monetary terms of the 3/5/2015 bankruptcy settlement. Died 12/24/1961. Included on the Jesuits West Province list 12/7/2018.

Placed on administrative leave in 8/1994 and suspended from priestly duties pending an investigation into allegations of past sexual misconduct with minors. Archbishop Sanchez was asked about allegations against Tafoya in his 1994 deposition. He said that Tafoya had come to him to say that someone had made a statement to a nun about Tafoya and that the statement was a lie. Included on the Santa Fe archdiocese's list of accused 9/12/2017. Accused in a lawsuit in 11/2018 of the sexual abuse of a boy in 1974.

Longtime Director of Youth Ministry for the Diocese. Last indexed in the 2004 Official Catholic Directory (which reflects 2003-2004). Criminally charged in 3/2025, along with Christopher Crisona, of continually sexually abusing a child 1994-1995, when both worked at St. Thomas the Apostle School and Parish in Wilmington. Taggart reportedly resigned from active ministry in 2004 and moved to Georgia.

Accused in 2002 of abuse in the 1960s by at least four people. Placed on leave 10/2002. One claim settled in 10/2002. Another settled 11/2002. At least two suits were filed. One suit settled in 4/2003. Sentenced to at least ten years in prison 3/2003 after pleading guilty in 12/2002 to five counts of sexually assaulting a boy over a period of eight years. Not listed in the 3/2003 NH Attorney General's Report. Request for early release due to health denied in 11/2010. Still in prison 2/05/2012. Per the diocese's list 7/31/2019, assigned to a life of prayer and penance. Deceased.

Taught at Boston College High School 1971-1980, then Cheverus High in Portland ME 1980-1998. Claims in 1998 that Talbot abused a student in 1984-1985. Suspended. Sent to St. Luke's Institute in MD for treatment. Claim settled in 2001. Allegations by at least eight men in 2002 that he abused them as minors 1972-1980. Criminal charges were filed but dropped. Fourteen claims were settled in 1/2003 for $5.2M. Pleaded guilty 2005 to raping two teenagers 1977-1979. Sentenced to five to seven years. On sex offender registry. Released from prison 3/18/2011. Living at Vianney Center in Dittmer, MO. Laicized in 2013. Indicted in 11/2017, accused of the sexual assault of an 8- or 9-year-old boy in Freeport ME between 5/1/1997 and 6/14/1998. Pleaded not guilty 12/1/2017. Pleaded guilty 9/24/2018. Sentence to 10 years' prison for gross sexual assault, with all but three years suspended, and a three years concurrent sentence for unlawful sexual contact. Included on the Jesuits Northeast Province list of credibly accused 1/15/2019. New suit filed in 4/2021.

One of 21 priests placed on administrative leave by the Philadelphia archdiocese 3/7/11 pending investigation of credible allegations involving sexual abuse or inappropriate behavior with minors. Last assignment was as parochial vicar at St. Patrick's in Malvern. Review Board could not prove accusations but permanently removed him 12/13 for violations of standards of ministerial behavior.

First named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. In 2/97 a man told the diocese that when he was age 13 in 1976, Tamalis sexually abused him, after plying him with alcohol. Tamalis was sent for an evaluation and admitted to probably abusing nine boys and young men; evaluators said there were likely far more. More victims later came forward. No prosecutions due to the statute of limitations. Laicized 12/07. On diocese's list 8/19/18.

Ordained in the Philippines. Began work in the L.A. archdiocese in 1968; incardinated in 1978. Accused along with six other priests in a 1984 civil suit of the sexual abuse of a girl in 1984. The girl gave birth to a daughter in 1982. Tamayo fled to the Philippines, where he died in 1996 or 1999. Per the 2004 Los Angeles Archdiocesan Report, Tamayo was accused of abuse of a minor 1978-1984. Claims against all 7 priests settled for $500K in $660M settlement in Fall, 2007. His personnel file, released in 1/2013, shows he was also alleged to have abused a boy.

One of 4 priests accused of abusing teenage boy 1996-1998 at St. Simon Stock in the Bronx. The boy worked in the rectory as a secretary; said the priests plied him with alcohol and porn, offered him money for sex, had him watch them group masturbate and threatened him with harm if he told. Transferred out 1999 after family went to the Archdiocese and Order. Assigned as chaplain to psychiatric hospital in Middletown NY while living at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel parish. Suspended 2001 after publicity about the case. Supported by Order through at least 2002. Arrested 2002 for harassing young man he met at NYC gay bar. Arrested again in 7/2005 for taking erotic photos of a 15-year-old boy and approaching another boy for the same. Convicted 3/30/2006. Sentenced 6/2006 to 5-15 years in prison. May also have offended while working in Peru prior to ordination.

First named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. Included in 8/18 on the diocese's list of credibly accused. Died in 1994. In 4/02 a man told the diocese that Tamilowski touched him inappropriately in the 1960s, when he was an altar boy at Assumption parish in Leechburg and the Mission of St. Mary. The man said that on several occasions Tamilowski pushed him into a corner of the sacristy, grabbed his crotch, and told him his parents wouldn't believe him if he told. The accuser also said that many years prior to 2002 he told the office manager for the diocese of the abuse, whose response was to tell him to "not rock the boat." Suit filed by a man in 10/18, claiming abuse by Tamilowski for three years, starting in 1978 when he was an altar boy at St. Hyacinth in Monessen. A second suit was filed in 12/18 by a man alleging abuse ages 14-18 in the late 1970s at St. Hyacinth.

Monsignor. Retired. Placed on leave and stripped of faculties in 9/2002 after accused in a lawsuit. Plaintiff's lawyer says Tancrede admitted to the allegations. Included in the 3/2003 Attorney General's Report. Per the Diocese's list 7/31/2019, assigned to a life of prayer and penance. Died in 2014.

Named publicly as accused by the Diocese on its list 7/1/2019. Removed from ministry 6/17/2002. Accused of abuse in RI 1965-1981. Also worked in Minneapolis, MN and the Diocese of Charlotte.

Arrived from the Philippines in 1986; incardinated into the Diocese of Orange in 1990. Monsignor. Reportedly in 7/2003, Tanilong was arrested after a 15-year-old girl complained that he had molested her earlier in the week. Placed on leave. Entered a plea of guilty on 1/30/2004 and in 4/2004 was sentenced to six months in jail and three years probation. Privileges permanently suspended. On the sex offender registry in 2/2012; had been in violation of registration requirements since 10/2009. Per the Diocese's list 8/12/2016, Tanilong is deceased.

Per a claim settled in 10/2019 in the low six figures, Taraborelli sexually abused an altar boy, ages 13-14, many times  1975-1976. Taraborelli was assigned at the time of the alleged abuse to Our Lady of Loreto Parish. He died 9/28/2006.

Accused of abuse of 5th grade boy in the 1980s. Reported in 1999. Placed on administrative leave in 1999. As of 2004 ministry was permanently restricted and he was living a supervised life.

Allegedly abused a student in 1979 at St. John's Prep. Sent for treatment then allowed to return to teaching at the school. In a 1992 civil suit, he was accused of molesting another boy at least three times in 1982 at school. On medical leave in 1992. Worked as director of the Oblate program at St. John's Abbey and lived under restrictions. Relieved of duties after a second suit was filed in 6/02 claiming abuse in 1985. A 7/12 lawsuit alleged fraud against Abbey. Suit filed 6/5/13 alleged abuse of a student in 1997; settled in 2015. On Abbey's 12/9/13 list. Suit filed 4/12/16 by a former St. John's Prep student claiming abuse 1979 or '80; plaintiff also accused Rev. Thomas Andert. Tarlton died in 1/16.

Died in 1982. Named publicly as credibly accused by the St. Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe PA in 8/2018. Included on the Baltimore archdiocese's list 4/24/2019. Accused in 1994 of abuse in the late 1950s of an altar boy and student at Fourteen Holy Martyrs in Baltimore, when the boy was in 3rd to 5th grades. In 2003 a man reported abuse by Tasch 1955-1956 when he was a Holy Martyrs altar boy, and that Tasch was often seen with young boys by his side. Included in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General's Report.

Named publicly as credibly accused by the Conception Abbey Benedictines on their list 8/5/19. Abuse alleged to have occurred in Missouri. Tasch died 6/28/17. Given name was Robert Leo Tasch.

Named publicly as accused on the St. Joseph Abbey Benedictines' list in 11/2018. It notes an allegation received in 2006 of abuse of a minor in the early 1960s. Further, Tassin left the monastery in 1969 and was dispensed from the priesthood in 1971. Married. Died in Arizona 7/26/2012.

Ordained for the Erie diocese. Assigned to the Tucson diocese in 1981 and again in 1984. Became a priest of the Diocese of Tucson in 1992. Placed on leave by Tucson in 1999 after it learned of allegations against him of abuse occurring during his time in Erie. Taylor said that he had taken some people with him on a vacation and they claimed that he touched them during the night. One adult and two teenagers were on the trip. Included on the Tucson diocese's list of credibly accused.  On the Diocese of Erie's list 4/6/2018. Noted to be forbidden to function as a priest. Per the list updated 1/18/2024, Taylor died in 9/2023.

Monsignor. Involved with Radio and Television Apostolate, Diocesan Communications Commission, Respect Life Task Force, Commission for Evangelization. Assistant pastor of St. Patrick's Cathedral in Harrisburg, taught at Harrisburg Catholic High School, principal of Lancaster Catholic Hight School. Retired 1996. Died in 1997. Name included on the diocese's list released 8/1/18. Accused after his death of the sexual abuse of a child.

Assigned to St. Kateri Tekakwitha parish in Niskayuna when arrested 4/22/14. Charged with endangering welfare of a child for inappropriate physical contact, telephone calls, text messages and photos with a 15-year-old girl between 10/13 and 4/14. He met the girl while Deacon and Youth Minister for Corpus Christi parish in Clifton Park, NY. Her parents contacted police when they learned of his actions. Was also U.S. Army captain. Pled guilty 8/13/14 to endangering welfare of a child. Accepted plea deal, avoided jail.

From Ireland. Associated with St. John's Abbey from the 1960s. Was reportedly sent to the Bahamas in 1980 for a year after allegations. Sent there again in 1990 due to "rumors." Worked in the Bahamas for 20 years. In 6/12 a young man publicly confronted Taylor at mass, claiming the priest tried to pursue a sexual relationship with him for the previous year and a half. Taylor had been scheduled leave the Bahamas 6/24/12 for parish assignment in Collegeville, but left several weeks early, after the confrontation, "for health reasons." Also in 6/12 a man alleged abuse by Taylor as a St. John's Prep student in the early 1980s. The new assignment was put on hold. Taylor is believed to have returned to Ireland. Attorney for the Abbey was conducting an investigation.

Following a recent court order, on 12/16/2013 Bishop Quinn released a list of 13 names of priests who had credible allegations against them of abuse involving minors. Taylor's inclusion on this list is the first public notice that he had been accused of abuse. The Diocese updated the information on its list 6/23/2014. It received an allegation in 8/1994 that he had sexually abused a minor male in 1983. Taylor was asked to go to treatment but refused. He was then suspended from ministry in 2/1995. Died 5/10/2012.

Named publicly as accused by the archdiocese on its list 4/26/19. It notes Taylor was removed from ministry, and that the Review Board found an allegation credible and substantiated. Also, Taylor was laicized, and in 4/19 an appeal of his laicization was pending.

Named publicly as accused by the Las Vegas diocese on its list 4/12/2019. Navy chaplain, parish priest. Died 9/19/2014 in Cathedral City, CA.

Monsignor. Former chancellor and superintendent of schools. Found murdered in a hotel room in Missouri in 1969; had invited two men to have lunch with him in the room. Was on leave since 3/1967 from the Diocese of Alexandria, studying at St. Louis University and teaching at a high school and at a convent. Named publicly as accused by the Diocese on its list 2/6/2019. Allegations to the Review Board in 2009 of abuse of male minors in the 1960s. Review of the file in 2019 by the Diocese showed further evidence of the abuse of male minors. Deemed credible.

Removed from the Worcester, MA diocese in 1986 for sexually abusing boys. Later became a visiting priest in the Fort Worth, TX diocese whose bishop, Joseph Delaney, knew of Teczar's history and acknowledged the risk in hiring him. Teczar was convicted in 2007 of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old TX boy in 1990. That conviction was overturned in 2007, but a retrial in 2009 resulted again in conviction. Sentenced to 50 years in prison. His victim testified that Teczar had shown him pornography and plied him with alcohol and marijuana. Subject of multiple lawsuits: In 10/2002 a MA jury found for a plaintiff who had filed a suit in 1996; no damages awarded. Civil suits by five plaintiffs in Fort Worth and Amarillo settled in 2005 and 2007. Another claim settled in 2/2008. Laicization announced 9/9/2011. Teczar sought early parole for medical reasons in 6/2013; denied after public outcry to the parole board. Died in prison in 3/2015.

Professed first vows as a Marianist in 1971, Cincinnati Province. Ordained in 1983. Worked in OH and FL. Died 12/2/2016. Named publicly as accused by the Marianist Order on its list 6/24/2020. Included in 2/2022 on the Cincinnati archdiocese's list of those with substantiated allegations against them.

Placed on leave in summer 2002 after a man alleged that Tejada molested him at age 11 in 1973 in the El Paso and Las Cruces NM dioceses. The man said that his parents spoke with someone at the diocese who promised that Tejada would get treatment and not be around children. No criminal charges filed. Remained in treatment out of state in 12/2003.  Laicized in 2007. Included on the Las Cruces diocese's list 11/8/2018. On the El Paso diocese's list 1/31/2019 (first name spelled "Dennis.") Accused in a lawsuit filed in 7/2024 of sexually abusing a girl for four years, beginning in 1984 or 1985 when she was age 11 or 12.

Accused in a 2004 civil suit of abusing a 13-year-old boy 1957-1959. Case settled in 2005. Name is on the Davenport diocese's in 7/2008 list of credibly accused. It notes accusations of abuse of three boys, earliest known to have occurred in the 1950s. Worked in many other dioceses. Spent time in the Dodge City KS diocese 1966-1968. On the Diocese of Owensboro list 4/12/2019, where he worked 1972-1978. Died in 1995. Added to Stockton diocese's list 11/12/2020, where he worked 1978-1984. The Davenport diocese's updated list in 2/2022 shows that he was accused of abusing four male minors. Included on the Diocese of Superior's list in 11/2022; one allegation of abuse there 1961-1962 in Rib Lake and 1962-1966 in Park Falls.

Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 6/12/2019. Three allegations of abuse against him of adolescent females, 1966-1971. Per list updated in 11/2019, alleged to have abused four adolescent girls. Left ministry to marry. Laicized. Died in 2021.

First named publicly as accused on the New Orleans archdiocese's list 11/16/2018. Allegation noted to have been received in 1995, of abuse in the late 1970s. Worked at Ave Maria Retreat House in Lafitte, and at Our Lady of Guadalupe in New Orleans. Left the priesthood and went on to work for non-profit organizations in Austin, TX.

Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 11/8/2018. Died in 12/1980. Included in the 3/24/2023 GA PAC Report. In 8/2004 a woman reported that Teoli sexually abused her 30 years prior, when she was in grades 7 and 8 and he was pastor of St. Michael's in Tybee. She said the abuse continued after his transfer to Nativity in Thunderbolt, GA. She was offered but declined a $40,000. settlement. Accused in 1/2007 of sexually abusing a boy  1963-1967. The Diocese deemed the allegations unsubstantiated and gave the man $5000. In 4/2008 a woman alleged abuse by Teoli around 1956-1963, beginning when she was age 8. She received a settlement of $50,000. Another woman alleging abuse as a child by Teoli also received a $50,000. settlement in 2008.

Accused of the sexual abuse of two minors between 1958-1968, per the 2004 Los Angeles Archdiocesan Report. Tepe died in 1969.

First named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Included on the diocese's list of accused. Accused in 12/1988 of the sexual abuse of a 16-year-old boy who worked part time at St. Peter's in Keesport rectory, where Terdine was assigned. Terdine allegedly touched the boy's genital area on several occasions, gave him an x-rated video and condoms, and massaged his back. He resigned from St. Peter's and was sent to St. Luke Institute in MD for evaluation. He was returned to restricted ministry as a hospital chaplain. Living in 12/2018 at St. John Vianney Manor.

Named publicly as credibly accused by the Pensacola-Tallahassee diocese on its list in 2020. Died in 1962. (Arrested in 1946 for disorderly conduct after giving a speech in Chicago against Jews, the Roosevelts, Communists and others, resulting in a riot. Convicted. Conviction was overturned in 1949.)

Transferred to Tucson from the Trenton diocese in 1978. Incardinated into the Tucson diocese in 1982. Abuse alleged to have occurred during his first assignment in Tucson 1978-1980. Placed on leave in 1991. Accused of child abuse in several of the 11 lawsuits filed 1999-2002 which were settled by the Tucson diocese in 1/2002. Laicization announced 8/5/2004. Named in another suit filed in 9/2004. Often associated with R. Trupia, another abuser. The Diocese paid him $900 per month 1991-2004. Included on the diocese's list of credibly accused. Accused in a suit filed in 1/2021 of abuse of a minor while assigned to St. Joseph's in Bound Brook 1974-1977.

Aka Fr. Gabriel. Member of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in Yonkers NY after first vows in 1996. Left there 1998. With Bishop Timlin's permission, established the Servants Minor of St. Francis community in Scranton in 2001. Ordained 2002. Admitted in 2005 to downloading child porn while working at St. Ann's in Tobyhanna PA in 01/05. Arrested in West Orange NJ while staying at St. Anthony of Padua. Pled guilty to one charge of criminal use of a communication facility; sentenced to two years probation. Faculties removed. Found celebrating mass/holding services in 2010 and in his newly-formed traditionalist church in 2011. The church is not recognized by the Vatican. Laicization announced 3/4/15. Still active 11/18 as "priest" of church he formed, St. Michael the Archangel in Lower Windsor Township. In PA Grand Jury Report 8/14/18 (misspelled "Thetherow"). On Scranton diocese's list 8/19/18.

Thatcher entered the Jesuits in 1934 and worked in various cities, including Spokane. After ordination, he continued to work in Spokane and then Portland 1957-73 and 1981-94. Accused of showing a 6-year-old boy pornography and sexually abusing him in 1963. Thatcher died in 2003.

Accused in a lawsuit filed in 3/2008 by a man who alleged that Thedens, a former music director, and Fr. John D. Murphy abused him as a boy 1976-1979. Reportedly there have been other allegations of abuse against Thedsen, most of which were settled. Thedens died in 2/2003. Included on the Augustinians Midwest Province's list of accused updated 5/31/24.

Deacon. Removed in 1993. In 1/1995 the Diocesan Review Board deemed Theis unfit to continue in the employment of the diocese. In a 1995 civil suit, Theis and four priests were named as abusers of a youth 1981-1983. Name is spelled "Theiss" in original petition. The suit also alleged that Theis was part of a sex ring of priests. Died 7/13/2010. On diocese's list 12/19/2018. Included in the 5/23/203 IL Attorney General's Report, which notes three "reported survivors."

Assigned to parishes in Manhattan, Staten Island, Garnersville and the Bronx. Allegations of abuse of male minors began to surface in 1987. Archdiocese settled with 3 men in 1994 who claimed abuse by Theisen in the early 1980s when they were teens. Each received $20K and were made to sign confidentiality agreements. Sent to the Servants of the Paraclete in NM for treatment. Voluntarily laicized in 1994. Died 1/25/13. Subject of settlement 10/27 as part of archdiocese's compensation plan. On archdiocese's list 4/26/19. On Dodge City diocese's list 10/1/19, where he was assigned 10/88-5/89 to the Dominican Convent and Central KS Medical Center in Great Bend.

Resigned in 5/1998. Went on to marry. Laicized in 4/2001. Name appears on Archdiocesan list in 2010 of priests with credible allegations of the sexual abuse of minors. Report made in 2003 of sexual "misconduct" with a 15- to 17-year-old girl 1962-1965. Theisen died 1/21/2013. Included on the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report.

Named publicly as credibly accused by the Vincentian Order on its list in 2020. Worked in LA and TX. Abuse estimated to have occurred in the 1980s, reported in 1990. Left the Vincentians in 1985, married in 1991. Dismissed from the Order in 2002. Location of the alleged abuse not revealed. (Placing his entry under St. Louis for now, where the Order is based.)

Sacred Heart Brother for 34 years, during which time he spent 21 years in Lesotho and Zambia. Ordained in 1985 for the Marists. Personnel file released in 12/02. Criminal trial in 1993 in ME for sexual contact in 1992 with child under 14 (3 boys) and child endangerment (providing beer). Found not guilty on sex charge and pleaded no contest to the other. Received treatment then reassigned to Boston under restrictions. Retired. All privileges removed in 1/02. Died in 8/12.

Br. Cuthbert. Joined the Xaverians in 1933. Worked in CT, NY, MD. Died in 1971. Accused in a 2005 civil suit of abuse of a male student at Mission High School, Boston, 1956-1957. The suit involved multiple plaintiffs and named multiple priests as defendants. Per Attorney Durso, almost all claims were settled. On the Xaverian Brothers' list 7/12/2019. It notes allegations reported in 2007 and later of abuse in the late- 1950s to early- 1960s in Baltimore, MD and Roxbury, MA. The man who came forward in 2007 said Thibault molested him as a student at Mount St. Joseph's High School in Baltimore in 1961 or 1962, and that he told the principal. No action. Included on Baltimore's list of credibly accused 7/23/2019, and in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General's Report.

Named publicly as accused by the Diocese on its list 4/10/2024. Assigned to parishes in Franklin, Manchester, Henniker, and Hillsboro. Last assignment was as a nursing home chaplain. Died in 2015.

Accused in a lawsuit filed in 8/2023 of sexually abusing a boy, age 12, in the late 1960s. Thibodeau was assigned at the time as chaplain at the Notre Dame Institute in Alfred. Thibodeau allegedly gave the boy and others alcohol in his living quarters, then isolated the boy and abused him. The boy tried to run away from the school with a classmate after several more incidents of abuse, but was returned by police and "corporally punished." Thibideau died in 2017.

A woman filed suit in 8/2003 alleging that Thieneman sexually abused her several times in the 1974-1975 school year. The nun allegedly would take her out of class for counseling and abuse her. The alleged victim told her parents in 1983 or 1984 and a psychological evaluation supported her claims. Her father went to the Order in 1984, but no action. The Order said there were no other complaints. The woman herself went to Archbishop Kelly in 1992. He said that Thieneman was assigned to a hospital in a controlled environment. Suit withdrawn in 1/2003. Thieneman died 1/21/2013.

One of several named in a 1995 lawsuit; settled. Accused in a 2004 civil suit in CA of abusing at least one student at Saint Anthony Seminary. New suit filed in 3/2011 in NV alleged abuse of a 7th-grade boy at St. Christopher Elementary School in North Las Vegas. Settled in 6/2012. Personnel file released by Order. Officially released from Order in 2004. Included on the Las Vegas diocese's list 4/12/2019. On the Province's list 5/31/2019, which notes reports 1993, 2004 and 2014 of abuse of minors 1982-1984. On the Oakland diocese's list in 2019.

First allegations in 1993. Civil suit in the 1990s alleged abuse of a male minor; settled prior to trial. Thoennes admitted in a deposition that he molested at least four young people in the 1960s-1980s. The bishop knew of allegations yet reassigned him to another parish. A second civil suit filed in 6/02 alleged abuse in the mid-1960s. After 1993 he worked in diocesan archives in a supervised setting. Privileges removed in 6/02. A third man filed a civil suit in 1/09 against the diocese, alleging fraud. A fourth suit was filed in 1/14. Included on the diocese's list 1/3/14. Thoennes died in 4/19.

A man told the Diocese in 1997 that Tholen groomed him and then assaulted him once in the early 1960s at Holy Redeemer Parish. The Bishop apologized and offered a settlement. Tholen retired the same year, for medical reasons. In 1999, a brother of the original complainant filed a civil suit claiming abuse by Tholen when he was a minor. Settled in 2000. Tholen died in 1/2012. Included on the Diocese's list 7/9/2019.

Named publicly as credibly accused by the diocese on its list updated 9/24/2019. It notes one allegation of abuse of a boy, occurring 1956-1961. Thom retired in 1992 and died 7/22/2006.

First named publicly as accused by the archdiocese on its list 11/2/2018. Allegation received in 1966 of abuse in the 1960s. Removed from ministry 1967. Died in 1989.

Monsignor. Died in 1967. First named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Included on the Diocese's list of accused. Per a 4/2/1996 diocesan memo, Thomas was accused of sexually abusing a boy on several occasions beginning in 1958, while assigned to St. Hugh in Carmichaels, PA. His alleged victim said a nun at the parish helped Thomas with some of the abuse, and that she sexually assaulted him separately at times.

Retired in 1997. Removed from public ministry in 10/2002 after allegations against him of sexual misconduct with a pre-teen boy more than 15 years prior, while assigned to St. Margaret Mary Parish in Rogers Park. The Review Board found reasonable cause to sustain the allegations; Cardinal George placed Thomas in a "monitored and restricted" setting where he would not be alone with minors. Review Board was still investigating as of 9/2005. Included on the Archdiocese's 9/15/2008 list of those with substantiated allegations against them. Died in 8/2011. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report, which notes at least three "reported survivors."

Included on Philadelphia Archdiocese website list of accused priests. Placed on leave three times between 1963 and 1972. Faculties removed by Archdiocese in 1972. Left active ministry. Died in 12/96. Name is included on a secret 1994 memo from Rev. William Lynn to Msgr. James Molloy (released 2/27/12) regarding priests in secret archives who were accused of sexual misconduct with a minor, with no conclusive evidence.

From India, arrived in the U.S. in 1959, shortly after ordination. Joined the Benedictines in 1979. Named publicly as accused by the Norwich diocese on its list 2/22/2019, as "Thomas Paschal." It notes only that he was reassigned by the Benedictines in 1993. On the Conception Abbey Benedictines' in MO list 8/5/2019. Died 10/9/2015 in MO.

Arrested 4/27/2016; 4 felony charges of exposing himself to a minor in 3/2016. Would stand naked in window of Grellinger Hall in Allouez (residence for retired priests) and flash a teen boy who was walking to school. Restricted from public ministry. Told investigators when arrested he was "already seeking treatment." Pled not guilty 5/23/2016. Pled no contest in 9/2016. Sentenced 10/28/2016 to 4 months in jail and 3 years supervised release. To register as a sex offender. Two prior arrests for indecent exposure, first in 1990 and one in 1993 when found by police "running around naked looking for others." Convicted in the 1993 case. On diocese's list 1/17/2019. Sentenced by Vatican to life of prayer and penance. Laicized in 2018. Arrested 1/29/2019 on probation violation for seeking out and having contact with children. Sentenced 1/25/2019 to 8 months jail. Died 12/10/2022.

Placed on leave in 7/2002 due to an allegation of abuse of a minor while assigned to Our Lady of Perpetual Help in the Toledo diocese 1982-1984. Admitted the abuse, sent for therapy, reassigned to Holy Trinity in Bucyrus OH. Status in Toledo was Retired/Senior status in 1986. Moved to the Diocese of Tucson in 1986, where he was in active ministry. Permanently removed from public ministry in 2007. Included on the Tucson diocese's list of credibly accused. Included on the Toledo diocese's list. Died in 6/2018.

Deacon. Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 11/30/18. It notes report received in 2018 of "acts" 2016-2018. Removed in 6/18. Per the NE A.G.'s report in 11/21, Thome allegedly engaged in grooming behavior toward and inappropriate touching of a girl, beginning when she was 17 in 2017. Thome was a Catholic high school teacher and the girl was a student.

Ordained in London, Ontario, Canada for the Congregation fo the Resurrection. Incardinated in 1970 into the Archdiocese of Louisville. Two men filed separate lawsuits in 4/2003 alleging abuse in the late 1960s or early 1970s by Thompson, who often took them on trips to theme parks, Florida and the Bahamas. The suits were directed to the archdiocese; Thompson was not named as a defendant. Retired in 1988. Died 2/1/2006.

Sued in 2003. Accused of sexually harassing a female principal of a school, having his young male lover live with him, and of stealing over $100K from the diocese. Died 10/1/2009. Included on the diocese's list in 2/2019 of those accused of the sexual abuse of a minor.

Monsignor. Name included on a list of priests with credible allegations of abuse against them released by San Diego diocese 3/30/2007. Retired in 1975. Died in 10/1976. A man came forward in 2002 to allege abuse when he was an altar boy in the late 1950s-early 1960s. There was another allegation as well. Claims included in a $200M settlement in 2007. At the request of the San Bernardino diocese and victims, in 2009 the City of Corona renamed the street it had named in his honor. Thompson's personnel file was released 10/24/2010.

Ordained in 1967 for the Wichita diocese. Transferred to CO in 1969. Removed as parochial vicar at St. Thomas More in Centennial in 4/2010 after recent allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor boy in the 1970s. He denied the allegations. In 5/2010 a man said he told the Archdiocese of "inappropriate sexual behavior" with him by Thompson in the early 1990s when he was age 20. Thompson was sent for alcohol abuse treatment. The Diocesan Review Board found that the allegations were not supported by evidence. Thompson was reinstated in 1/2011 and then retired. He died in 12/2016.

Several leaves of absence. Assigned to St. Martha's in Plainville when placed on leave in 1/2010 after an allegation that he abused a minor 15 years previously. Two days later, Thomson was found dead in his NH home. Autopsy said he died of natural causes, high blood pressure and diabetes. The Archdiocese did not tell the parish about the allegations for almost 10 days after Thomson's death, and announced that the investigation was closed. Name included on the Boston archdiocese's list released in 8/2011.

Removed in 6/2002 after the diocese said it had substantiated an allegation of abuse of a minor dating back more than 25 years. Thoren had just been transferred into a new parish to replace Joseph Carne, who had been removed because of sexual abuse allegations. Included in the MI Attorney General's 10/2022 report, which reveals multiple allegations. Report in 6/2002 of abuse of a 7th-8th grade boy 1977-1979; Thoren said the allegations were "partially true." Sent to St. Luke's for assessment. Report from a Jesuit brother in 6/2002 of boundary violations by Thoren against him when he was ages 17-18 . He also said a friend told him in 1991 that Thoren grabbed him aggressively in a sexual manner in a sauna. Further, he said a boy, about age 16, would often stay the night in the rectory; the boy died of an overdose in about 1996. In 7/2002 a man reported sexual abuse by Thoren when he was 15 in 1974. Another report, in 2008, by a man that Thoren abused him multiple times in at age 13 or 14 in the early 1970s at a sauna. The same man alleged abuse by Fr. James Wolf. Thoren retired to Florida, per his obituary. He died 12/17/2011, at age 66.

Accused of the sexual abuse of a minor in the early 1970s, per the 2004 Los Angeles Archdiocesan Report. Also worked in the Dioceses of Austin TX (1961-1971), Jackson MS (1980-1987), and Trenton NJ. At least three civil suits and two criminal indictments were filed 1986-1987 in MS. One plaintiff claimed abuse by Thorne 1980-1986 beginning when he was age 14 in at Holy Ghost church in the Jackson diocese. Another man alleged abuse at the same parish as a 9-year-old boy. Thorne died in 11/2004. Included on the Jackson diocese's list 3/19/2019, which notes alleged abuse in 1986 reported the same year; removed from the diocese in 1987. Included on the Order's Southern, Western, and Chicago Provinces lists of credibly accused.

Admitted in 1991 that he abused a boy in 1982; Archbishop Roach kept him in ministry. Per his deposition, his sexual history began at ordination in 1951 when he frequented adult bookstores and gay bathhouses. Civil suits filed in 1991 and 1993 accused him of molesting at least three boys. The 1993 suit was settled and dismissed in 3/94. Results of the 1991 suit unknown. Retired in 1991. Permanently removed from ministry in 2002. New suit filed 10/29/13 by a woman alleging abuse by Thurner when she was a second grader in the mid-1980s. Included in 12/13 on the archdiocese's list of credibly accused. Thurner died in 2016.

First named publicly as credibly accused on the Las Cruces diocese's list 11/8/2018. It notes a report in 2004 of an alleged incident 1976-1977. Tickle was removed from active ministry in 2004. Included on the El Paso diocese's list 1/31/2019. (Las Cruces was established in 1982 from El Paso.) Died 11/21/2023.

Accused in a 9/30/10 lawsuit of fondling a 13-year-old boy in 1971 when the boy was helping move items at Tierney's mother's house. Diocese learned of allegations in 2008. Named in two other suits. Retired with privileges. Removed from ministry in 6/11 due to credible reports of sexual misconduct with minors in 1970s-80s. Tierney denied the misconduct. Named in a second suit 6/30/11 claiming 1970s abuse. More suits 7/11 and 10/11. Parts of original suit dismissed 7/11 and 5/12. Dismissal upheld by Appeals Court 11/13. Included in 2014 massive settlement. On diocese's 9/5/19 list, which notes multiple substantiated allegations. Permanently removed from ministry. Died 12/15/20. He had been laicized 12/11/20.

Named publicly as accused by the Paulist order on its list 3/8/2019. It notes an a report in 1993 of alleged abuse in in Austin TX in 1943. Tierney died 12/24/1972. Included on the Diocese of Tucson's list of credibly accused.

Named publicly as credibly accused by Franciscan University in 4/2019. Accused of the sexual abuse of young female college students. Died in 2001.

Arrested 10/09 on 16 counts of possession of child pornography. Investigation began 12/08 when diocese notified the DA's office of an anonymous letter re his improper use of computer. In 2006, he took 1-year leave of absence. Sent to treatment. Pled guilty 8/10 to 17 counts of child porn possession and downloading same. Sentenced 11/10 to 6 to 72 months in state prison, fined, and ordered to register as sex offender. Released 6/12 on parole; worked for nonprofit; on leave without faculties. Laicized 1/24/14. In 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. On diocese's list 8/19/18.

Founded Camp St. Michael in Leggett. Two 1994 civil suits alleged abuse by Timmons of 8 boys. Arrested 10/31/1995 on 17 counts involving two victims. There were 18 others known but dropped due to the statute of limitations. Admitted in has diary in a 1970 entry to being a child molester. Pleaded guilty. Sentenced in 9/1996 to two concurrent 8-year prison terms. Released from prison in 2000. Laicized 5/15/2001. Other civil suits were filed in 2003 and 2007. Registered sex offender. Included on the diocese's list 1/12/2019, which notes he worked in the diocese 6/1967-3/1994. The diocese and camp were sued in 12/2019 under the CA Child Victims Act, in two cases of abuse by Timmons. Living in Sacramento in 2019. Accused in new lawsuit(s) in 2022 of abuse at Hanna Boys Center in Sonoma Valley.

News in 12/18 that Timone was accused in 2002 and 2003 of abuse late 1960s-early 1970s of teen boys he was counseling. Suspended, then returned to ministry. One of his alleged victims died by suicide in 1/15. Subject of two IRCP settlements in 2017. Remained in ministry. Suspended in 12/18 after publicity. NY archdiocesan review board to revisit the case. Had also been working at times as a chaplain, spiritual advisor and teacher at John Paul the Great Catholic University in CA, and assisting at a Rancho Santa Fe CA parish. The NY archdiocese told the University 12/18 that Timone had never been accused and was fit to serve, even though he was then being investigated. Longtime chaplain for Courage and Encourage International, an apostolate to help homosexuals "live chaste lives." On archdiocese's list 4/26/19. Review Board process pending. Lawsuit 7/19 by man claiming church covered up Timone and Msgr. John Paddack's histories of abusing and kept them in ministry. The archdiocese's list updated in 6/22 shows that the review board had deemed the allegation credible and substantiated and that a canonical process was pending.

Byzantine Catholic priest. Criminal charges filed in 1988 alleged Tisak abused a 12-year-old at a Pennsylvania YMCA. Tisak pleaded guilty. Sentenced to two years probation and six months at St. Luke Institute. Shown as "On leave" from Metropolitan Archdiocese of Pittsburgh, Byzantine per the 1989 Official Catholic Directory.

Named publicly as accused by the Diocese of Alexandria on its list 2/6/2019. Allegation to the Review Board in 2014 of abuse of a male minor in 1967. Tisch left active ministry in the Roman Catholic Church in 1968. He moved to Melbourne, FL where he joined the Liberal Catholic Church and had a career as a social worker. In 1986 Tisch was elected bishop of the Liberal Catholic Church for the Eastern United States. He died in 2007 "publicly separated from the [Roman Catholic] Church." A review of his file in 2019 showed more evidence of the sexual abuse of male minors; deemed credible by the Review Board.

From Sri-Lanka. Several names: Edward Warnakulasuriya, Edward Tissera, W. Edward Julian Tissera. Accused in 7/2011 of molesting a 17- or 18-year-old male during confession at St. Bernard's in Simsbury. Suspended. Arrested. Pleaded no contest 9/2012. Accused in a 9/2014 lawsuit of repeated sexual assault of a 13- to 14-year-old boy 2000-2001, while associate pastor of St. John the Evangelist, Watertown, CT. Abuse was said to have occurred in Tissera's rectory bedroom, after he invited the boy for spiritual guidance and counseling. Settled in 10/2016. Laicized 5/29/2018. On the Archdiocese's list 1/22/2019.

Professed vows in 1958 as a Marianist brother, St. Louis Province. Worked in MO and WI. Left the Order in 1964. Died in 2021, per the Marianists' list in 11/2021.

In a 1994 RICO lawsuit, Titmas and two other priests were accused of abuse of a youth 1972-1977. Permanently removed from ministry when suit filed. Died in 2004. All RICO claims settled in 3/2003. On diocese's list 2/13/2019.

Personnel file released in 12/2002. Admitted abusing two boys in the late 1970s and admitted to a "relationship" with a 15-year-old boy. Removed in 1985 and sent for treatment. Several assignments after treatment. Placed on disability leave in 1998, told not to be around minors. Retired in 2001, possibly because he slapped a teenage girl and her father complained. Assigned to a life of prayer and penance in 2004. Included in 8/2011 on the archdiocese's list.

First named publicly as accused by the diocese on its 11/13/18 list of priests credibly accused of sexual misconduct with a minor or vulnerable adult. Died 8/25/10.

Seminarian. Name included on the Harrisburg diocese's list released 8/1/18. Accused of the sexual abuse of a child.

Monsignor. Named publicly as credibly accused by the diocese on its 2/22/2019 list. One allegation noted, of abuse of a girl 1980-1982. Retired and died in 1989. The diocese's list updated 9/24/2019 shows three allegations of minors, both male and female.

Accused in a lawsuit filed in 8/19 of molesting a boy over several years, beginning when the boy was age 16 in the 1960s and Tolczyk was principal of St. Francis High School. The boy was a student. Tolczyk died 9/6/13.

In 1982, Tollner's sister accused him of molesting his special needs nephew, age 22, who had the mental age of 12. Parishioners spoke of "suspicious behavior" involving young boys, alcohol and drugs in the hot tub Tollner had installed on the rectory roof. Reportedly abused six children. One alleged victim is said to have become an addict by age 12 and died by suicide years later, citing abuse by Tollner in his suicide note. Removed from ministry in 1995. In 2/2004, Bishop Vigneron publicly apologized to the parish community of St. Philip Neri, Alameda. Tollner died 2/17/1999. Included on the Diocese's list of credibly accused 2/17/19, which notes abuse occurring in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s.

Several women told the archdiocese in 2006 that Toma and another priest had abused many young girls during his 50 years as pastor of St. Lazarus in Boston. A representative of the archdiocese said the "women's stories were individually convincing, collectively consistent, and showed a pattern of recognizable abuse." Toma died in 1961. Omitted from 2011 Boston AD database.

Named publicly as credibly accused by the diocese on its list 9/27/2019. Went on sick leave 1/15/1987. Died 10/21/1987. Included in the MI Attorney General's 12/16/2024 Diocese of Lansing Report. In 2008 a man told the Diocese that he was sexually abused by Tomaszewski as an altar boy at St. Mary's in Bronson MI in the late 1960s or early 1970s . The man received a settlement of $205K and the Diocese paid for his counseling.

Named publicly as accused on the diocese's list 8/19/18 (name misspelled Tomkiewic). Died in 1967.

Died in 1957, age 78. Civil suit filed by three men 8/26/2010 claimed abuse at Briscoe Memorial School, including an allegation that Toner abused a boy there in 1944. The youth allegedly fled the school and reported the abuse to the Archdiocese in the same year, but no action. Toner was at St. Benedict's Mission (later called Our Lady Queen of Heaven) in Tacoma 1939-1946. His ordination date is unclear; he arrived in WA state in 1925 from Vancouver. Name included on the archdiocese's 1/15/2016 list of clergy and religious with established, admitted or credible allegations against them of sexual abuse of a minor.

"Jeff." Accused in 12/1993 of sexually abusing a male Calvert Hall High school student he was counseling, from 1985-1989. Denied the allegations, refused to go to treatment. On leave without faculties from 1993. Suit filed in 1994, dismissed in 1996. Accused in 2004 of sexually abusing another Calvert Hall student, from 1987-1990. Criminally charged in 5/2005. Pleaded guilty. Sentenced to five years in prison, all but 18 months suspended, and 18 months of supervised probation. Released after 10 months. Laicization announced in 5/2008. On sex offender registry. Settlement for $30K in 2014 with another victim. Allegation in 2015 of abuse 1980-1987. Two more settlements, for $85K and $100K.  Included in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General's Report.

Named publicly as accused by the archdiocese on its list 8/5/19. Allegations deemed substantiated. Removed from ministry. Laicized in 1972. Went on to marry and raise a family. Filed suit in 11/19 against the archdiocese, claiming it falsely named him as an alleged abuser. Toohey denied abuse, said the archdiocese had not informed him of the accusation before the list was released, and that it refused to provide details of the allegations.

From the Archdiocese of Popayan, Colombia. First named publicly as credibly accused on the San Jose diocese's 10/18/2018 list. Sexually abused a child while assigned to Our Lady Star of the Sea in Alviso in 1983. Convicted. Registered sex offender. Kept in parish ministry. Banned in 1990. Missing in the Diocese's 10/2018 report was the fact that Toro was currently in jail, since 10/2017, accused of molesting two girls - one age between age 4 and 6 in 2011, the other age 11 in 2016. Suit filed in 2/2019.

Named publicly as accused by the archdiocese on its list 4/26/19. Removed from ministry. Died in 2014. Laicization process pending at time of death.

Assigned to Seattle University 1951-1976. Philosophy professor. Died 6/13/1976. Accused in a 2005 lawsuit of abusing a 12-year-old boy in 1968. Investigation also uncovered allegations of abuse in 1947 in Spokane. Allegations reported to church in 1965. Complaint to Order in 1993 and Archdiocese in 2004. The suit settled in 11/2006 for $350K. A new suit was filed by 8 men in 7/2007. A 10th man filed suit in 10/2008. Included in a 3/25/2011 settlement. Name included on the Seattle archdiocese's list 1/15/2016. Included on the Jesuits West Province list 12/7/2018, which notes abuse in the 1950s, 1961-1973, 1963-1967 and 1968-1969 reported 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Parish priest in Weymouth, Holliston, Cambridge and Revere. Chaplain at Matignon High School in Cambridge in the late 1970s-early 1980s. Allegations that Tourigney sexually abused young boys span the length of his career as a priest. The first known complaint of the sexual abuse of a minor was in 1974; the same victim came forward again in 1988. Tourigney admitted to the "relationship." He went on sick leave in 1992. Two lawsuits settled in 1995. Given retirement status in 2000. Tourigney was also accused of sexually abusing minors in NH. Laicization announced in 3/2006. Last known to be living in Bourne, MA

From Haiti. Ordained for the Diocese of Cap-Haitien. Professor in Haiti then in New Brunswick Canada before transferring to Louisiana in 1954. Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list in 4/2019. Died in 1977.

Member of the Eastern Province Vincentians. Accused in a 7/2021 lawsuit of sexually abusing a boy, age 15, in about 1971. Towey was head of the theater department at Niagara University for 42 years until he retired in 2005. He remained active there until 2010, when he moved to St. Vincent's Seminary in Philadelphia. He died 11/22/2012.

Named publicly as credibly accused by the Jesuits Northeast Province on its list 1/15/2019, which notes an allegation received in 1992 of abuse of a minor in 1971. "Impeded" in 2002. Died in 2016.

Assigned after ordination to parishes in Brookline and Quincy. Earned a degree as a clinical social worker in 1981 and became a therapist at Family Counseling and Guidance Centers. Went on leave of absence in 1987. Voluntarily laicized in 1990. Married a former nun and moved to NH, worked in real estate. The Archdiocese was notified in 1993 of allegations that Towner had abused at least two boys and one girl. Three suits were settled in the mid-1990s for a total of $87K. Named in some of 70 new suits filed in 1/2003 in Boston. Also accused of taking children from MA to NH and abusing them. Named in 2003 NH Attorney General's Report and on the 8/2011 Boston archdiocese list.

Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 4/2/2019. Accused of misconduct/grooming, including supplying a 19-year-old male with alcohol in 2017. He was placed on leave in 2018. Pleaded no contest to criminal charges in 3/2019.  Per the NE Attorney General's Report released in 11/2021, Townsend favored a small group of altar servers at his parish. He would have teenage boys at the rectory late into the evening, allow them to drive his car, and he took a few of them on a long trip. In early 2017 church officials gave Townsend a canonical warning, concerned that his behavior would cause scandal. 

Priest of the Congregation of Jesus and Mary (Eudists). Taught at Cardinal Dougherty High School 1963-69. A man stated publicly in 3/18 that Townsend sexually abused him over 5 years in the 1960s, starting when he was age 5. He said he reported the abuse to the diocese in 2006. A second man told a news outlet in 3/18 that Townsend also abused him, at ages 7 and 8. Report in 2008 to the Diocese of Manchester NH that Townsend sexually abused a child, ages 6 and 7, in a rectory parking lot in Farmington NH in Fall 1975 through early 1977. The diocese said he did not serve there. Name not found in the Official Catholic Directory. Townsend died in 1998. Lawsuit in 8/19 claimed abuse of a boy, ages 8-11, 1963-67 in Buffalo.

Placed on leave in 7/19 by the diocese, due to a "non-frivolous allegation of sexual misconduct with a minor." Townsend denied the allegation. The abuse allegedly occurred sometime during his assignment at St. Pius X in Tulsa 6/88-6/91. After an internal investigation, the diocese announced on 12/3/19 that the allegation was determined to be "unsubstantiated" and Townsend was free to return to public ministry.

Monsignor. Placed on leave in in 10/14 due to an allegation that he sexually abused a boy in the mid-1970s while assigned to a Bergenfield parish. His accuser received a settlement in 2016. The archdiocese deemed the allegation credible. Canonical process initiated in 2015 was ongoing in 2/19. Trabold died 4/17/22.

Superintendent of Catholic Schools, among other prominent diocesan position. Teacher, track coach, parish priest. Was a Holy Cross brother (Bro. Eugene) prior to priesthood. Accused of sexual misconduct with high school and college students. Also identified as having sexually abused a teenager who later became a priest. Tracey was fired from his job at Lafayette Central Catholic High School in the early 1980s for abusing a male student in an incident involving alcohol. Was retired when he died 6/4/1989. Included on the Diocese's 9/28/18 list of credibly accused .

Named publicly as accused by the archdiocese on its list 8/1/2013. Accused of sexually abusing boys. Claim settled in 2012. Tracy died 4/20/1990.

Accused in 1958 of abuse beginning in 1956 of a girl, age 13. Criminally charged. Trial was kept private in a judge's chambers. In exchange for no jail time, Archbishop Keough promised the judge that Trageser would never return to MD. Sent to Via Coeli in NM for treatment. The girl was sent to a "school of correction." The girl's mother had gone to a newspaper; Keough told Via Coeli's director that "prolonged and extremely careful negotiations and the happy influence of a highly placed newspaper man prevented the entire scandal from becoming public knowledge." Keough arranged for Trageser to be accepted into the Diocese of Salt Lake City. The Official Catholic Directory shows him beginning in 1959 as assigned to an Ogden UT parish. By 1969 he was a rural dean, with the title "Very Rev.",  and pastor of a parish in Price UT. In 1970 he was administrator of a high school and grade school in Price. He is last shown in the 1971 Directory. Name appeared on Baltimore's 9/2002 list of accused priests and religious (as "Gerald Tragesser.") He was "released from the priesthood" in 1976. Died in 2013. Included in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General's Report.

Formerly Br. Hart. Joined the Xaverians in 1955. Left in 1973. Ordained in 1980 for the Diocese of Victoria, British Columbia. Named publicly as accused by the Xaverian Order on its list 7/12/2019, which notes an allegation received in 2003 of abuse in Westwood, MA in the early 1970s, and that he is deceased.

Trainor was placed on leave in summer 2002 from his position as chaplain at Lagunda Honda Hospital. He had previously taken a leave from the priesthood after earlier allegations of abuse. Archbishop Levada brought him back in 2000; suspended in 2002 after prosecutors were given information about the allegations, some of which were about 10 years old. Status was absent on leave 2002-07, after which the Catholic Directories show him as retired, until at least 2017.

Trainor was the subject of at least three lawsuits filed by up to 18 plaintiffs beginning in 1994. Accused of the sexual abuse of boys, some as young as age 9. Diocese admitted paying settlements on behalf of Trainor and other priests. Trainor left Wisconsin in 1984 after two parents complained. Sent to New Mexico for treatment. Worked in Montana parishes 1985 until 1991 when he left the priesthood. New allegations surfaced in 12/02 of abuse in 1980. Laicized in 2010. Died in 2016.

Monsignor. Died in 12/2014. Accused in a 2020 lawsuit of sexually abusing a minor 1970-1972 at St. Rose of Lima in New York NY.

From Viet Nam. Arrived in the U.S. and IA in 1989. Ordained for the Diocese of Des Moines in 1992. Accused in 1995 of "patting and hugging" 10 girls in an 8th-grade confirmation class in that year. He was suspended with pay, evaluated, and allowed to return to active ministry. He died 12/10/2019.

Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list in 3/21. Abuse allegedly occurred at St. Martha's in Uniondale, where Trapani was assigned 1977-84. US Navy chaplain 1987-2007. Died 8/8/13.

Ordained for the permanent diaconate in 1975. Accused in 1990 of the recent fondling and kissing of a girl, age 7. Suspended. Restored to ministry after two months by Bishop Cooney, who said that a professional consultant told him that there was no reason that Trapp couldn't be returned to his duties. Trapp died in 2013.

Accused of abuse of two or three boys in early 1980s and another in 1991. Allegedly took boys on overnight trips, shared a bed with them. Removed in 2003. Laicized 5/20/05. Named in at least two civil suits. Name included on secret 1994 memo from Msgr. Lynn (released 2/27/12) regarding priests in secret archives who were accused of abuse but no credible evidence found. In 2012 two men testified in Msgr. Lynn's trial about abuse by Trauger. Accused in new suit filed 9/18/12. Charged in 9/19 with abuse of two Tullytown altar boys, ages 11 and 12, one in 1996 and the other in 2000. Living in Brooklyn NY in 9/19. Suit filed 12/19. Pled gulty in 7/20. Sentenced to 18-36 months in state prison and 7 years probation.

Headmaster at Delbarton School in NJ 1999-2007; taught there before and after that time. In 2011, two former students accused him of sexual misconduct in the 1980s. One said Travers grabbed his crotch and butt. The other said Travers "crossed boundaries" both while he was a student and later. Removed from current position at Mary Mother of the Church Abbey in VA. Three other accusers came forward. Suit filed 3/20/12. Living under restrictions at Abbey until he severed ties with it in 4/12. Settlement in 6/18 with five men alleging abuse at Delbarton School. New suits in 12/20.

From Quebec, Canada. Ordained for the Diocese of Alexandria LA. Died 1/13/2002. Accused in a 2/1/2005 lawsuit of abusing 14-year-old boy, along with seminarian Donald P. McCarthy, in 1955. The abuse allegedly included rape and oral battery, and the boy was silenced by threats. Per the complaint, the Diocese was contacted in 1990; Bishop Friend confirmed in 2004 that Tremblay was a pedophile who abused 'numerous youths.' The Diocese stated that Tremblay was removed in 1987 for 'attempted, unwanted physical advance toward a minor.' Trained in Quebec and New Orleans. Died 1/13/2002. Included on the Diocese's list 2/6/2019. Settlements in 2004 and 2005.

Accused in a 2021 lawsuit filed under the NY Child Victims Act of the sexual abuse of a minor. Per the diocese, Tremblay maintained his innocence.

First named publicly as accused on Ft. Wayne-South Bend's 9/18/2018 list. One known credible allegation. Faculties  in the diocese removed 10/18/2002. Assignments included University of Portland OR, Holy Cross Mission House (Fatima), South Bend and Granger parishes, St. Mary's Convent in Notre Dame. On Order's list 6/12/2019. It notes an allegation received in 1991 of abuse in the 1980s in IL. Ministry restricted in 1991. Permanently removed from ministry in 2002. Living in a nursing facility without access to minors. Died 11/3/2021 at Holy Cross House, Notre Dame, IN. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report.

In 1998 a man told the archdiocese he was abused at ages 15-18 in 1977-79 by Trepanier, at St. Robert Parish in Shorewood. Trepanier resigned from his position in 5/02 after old allegations were investigated by the archdiocese. He wrote a letter telling his parishes of his background. As of 5/02, he was one of six priests with credible allegation of past abuse who were still working in active ministry. He remained fully restricted from ministry as of 3/12, per archdiocese website. Archbishop Dolan tried to have him laicized.

Removed in 1998. Accused of abuse of a boy. Reportedly active in Peru in 3/2005. Named in the 2004 in Los Angeles Archdiocesan Report.

Trezza's name is included in 10/2021 on the Franciscans' Holy Name Province list of those with substantiated allegations against them of child sexual abuse. No details provided as to when or where the abuse occurred. He is noted to have been removed from ministry in 9/2012. (Placing him for now in the New York archdiocese, where the Province is based.)

Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 8/19/18. Died in 1986.

The diocese announced in 12/2018 that it had recently received an allegation that Trichtinger sexually abused a Seton-LaSalle High School student in the mid-1980s. Trichtinger was a counselor at the school 1985-1987. He also was an assistant principal 1991-1995 at Central Catholic High School.

Ordained for the Diocese of Covington. Incardinated into the Diocese of Lexington when it was created in 1988. Included on the Covington diocese's list 7/31/2020 of those with substantiated allegation(s). Died 2/23/2004.

Tripp's name appeared on a list released by the District Attorney in 9/2002 of 21 priests accused of abuse. The list shows two alleged victims with claims beyond the statute of limitations. Tripp left MA in 1983 to work at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA. Per the 1993 Catholic Directory, he was on special assignment with St. Mary's Hospital in the San Francisco archdiocese. San Francisco Faith 2/2003 newsletter shows a Kevin Tripp as executive director of the Marin Interfaith Council in San Rafael, CA. In 4/2020 he appears to be living in Santa Rosa, CA and is no longer presenting as a priest; his Facebook page shows him to be a hospice worker and he has a website touting his services as a wedding officiant. Included in 1/2021 on the Fall River diocese's list of credibly accused. Laicized in 2020.

Died 3/9/2013. Name included on the archdiocese's 1/15/2016 list of clergy and religious with established, admitted or credible allegations against them of sexual abuse of a minor.

Professed vows in 1966 as a Marianist, St. Louis Province. Ordained in 1981. Placed on leave from parish in Ft. Worth TX diocese in 8/05 after recent claim of sexual misconduct with a minor in 1996 at Chaminade College Prep in St. Louis. Accuser had just filed suit in circuit court in St. Louis. Taught at Nolan High School in Ft. Worth 1983-87 before transfer to parish. Suit settled in 2007; announced in 2/08. Died in 2017. Included on the Marianists' 6/24/20 list of those "found to have sexually abused a minor." Included on the Cincinnati archdiocese's list in 2/22. Noted to have been removed from ministry.

Criminally charged in 1987 for abusing as many as 12 young boys while pastor of St. John's in Delmont, PA. Pleaded guilty to abuse of one; sentenced to 5 years probation, with treatment as a condition of probation, and a $10K fine. Sent To St. Luke's in MD for treatment. Accused in a 4/02 complaint of abusing a 10-year-old altar boy in 1973, including repeated rape. Civil suit filed in 2005 claiming abuse 1973-76. Settled for $130K. Laicized around 11/04. Died in 2017 in FL. Included in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report and on the diocese's list of credibly accused. 

A man filed suit in 9/11 alleging abuse by True (a relative) and by Msgr. Thomas O'Brien when the accuser was a 9-year-old altar boy at Nativity Church in Independence in late the 1970s. True would also allegedly abuse him during visits to his home, and on trips. True was President-Rector of Conception Seminary 1973-88. Also worked at Blessed Sacrament Parish, in Bethany, Mo. Lawsuit against order settled 11/13 for $125K. Removed from ministry. Included on the Conception Abbey Benedictines list of credibly accused 8/5/19.

Served as Judicial Vicar. Accusations date back to seminary. Suspended in 1992. Named in several suits 1994-2002. Claims included in 11 lawsuits which were settled by the Tucson diocese in 1/2002. Arrested and charged in 2001. Seven criminal charges dismissed in 2001 due to the statute of limitations. One suit was set for trial in 6/2004. Bishop Moreno and other diocesan staff did affidavits regarding Trupia's refusal of treatment in 1992 and his blackmail and allegations about another Bishop in the diocese. Laicized in 2004. Living in MD in 2010. Included on the Diocese's list of credibly accused. Mentioned in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General's Report.

Accused of abuse of at least three girls and three young women in the Fort Worth diocese at various times. Sent for treatment in 1993. Diagnosis was "a very underdeveloped psycho-sexual personality," Transferred to the Galveston-Houston diocese where he was working when placed on leave in 2006. Personnel files released by the Fort Worth diocese 11/28/06 under court order. One allegation was reported to police in 12/06. Seven original accusers filed suit in 12/09. One dropped; six others settled suit 10/6/11.

Accused of non-genital touching over clothing of a 14- to 17-year-old boy in the mid-1980s in Oregon. In 2005, because of some other instances of boundary violations with adults and because of disobedience issues since that time not relating to sexual misconduct, he was reportedly not permitted to leave the Dominican residence unattended or without permission. He had no public ministry, nor was he allowed contact with minors. Included on the Archdiocese of Los Angeles' updated list 12/6/2018; report in 2014 of incident(s) in 1983. On the Dominicans Holy Name Province in 10/2021. Noted to have been removed from public ministry in 1992, and to have died in 2021.

A man told the diocese in 1991 that Tucci sexually abused him when he was a 14-year-old altar boy. Tucci admitted to the allegations. Sent to Paracletes in NM for treatment. Returned to ministry as pastor of two Nesquehoning parishes. Resigned in 2/2002. In 5/2002 another man reported sexual abuse as a minor by Tucci 1977-1978. Tucci requested laicization in 2005; granted in 4/2007. Arrested in 12/2012 on charges that in 1981 he took a PA boy to Ocean City MD and molested him. The boy attended a Shenandoah parish and school where Tucci was assigned. Tucci admitted to being aroused when he wrestled with and tickled the boy on a motel room bed. Last known to be living in Salisbury MD. Named in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Included on the Allentown diocese's 8/19/2018 list of credibly accused. Accused in a lawsuit 11/2018 of abuse 1999-2001 of a Nesquehoning altar boy, ages 10-12. Settled.

Accused by a man in his early 60s in a lawsuit 8/19 of raping and molesting him at age 10 or 11. The man also accused Revs. Peter Popadick, Paul Nogaro and a "Fr. Mike." He also claimed molestation by two teachers at St. Mary of Sorrows church and school. He said the abuse occurred at St. Mary's and at Bishop Fallon High School. In 1995 Tuchols was caught in a sting by the DEA buying crack cocaine. Working at the time as Childrens Hospital chaplain, and was previously a Catholic Charities' marriage and family counselor.
