"Gerry." Accused by two women of having repeatedly raped them in the early 1970s, when they were Keough High School students. One of them said she reported her allegations multiple times, beginning in 2014, to county and city police and the city state's attorney's office. She also said three other women alleged Koob behaved inappropriately around them when they were girls. The second woman came forward to police, the Archdiocese and the Jesuits in 2023. Both were interviewed by the MD Attorney General's office; its 4/5/2023 report referred to Koob not by name, but as "the Jesuit intern." Both women also said they were repeatedly sexually assaulted by Frs. Joseph Maskell and Neil Magnus. Koob denied the allegations. Koob was dating Sr. Cathy Cesnik in 1969 when she disappeared and was later found murdered. In 7/2023 the case is unsolved. Koob left the priesthood around 1979. He married, became a Methodist minister and raised a family in NJ.

Worked in the Dioceses of Duluth, Crookston, Belleville IL and in the Archdiocese of St. Paul-Minneapolis. Name released by his order in 7/2015 as part of a 2/2015 settlement. Name added 11/3/2017 by the St. Paul-Minneapolis archdiocese to its list of 19 "priests and religious brothers who have served or spent time in the archdiocese and have substantiated claims of sexual abuse of a minor against them." Left the Oblates in 1989. Died 5/31/1999. Included in 9/2022 on the Belleville diocese's list. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report.

Named as accused in 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Included on the diocese's list of credibly accused. Removed from ministry in 1992 and went on leave of absence. Faculties were withdrawn in 2/1994 after the diocese received a report that Kaczmarczyk had sexually abused three boys, ages 17, 14 and 11. The boys were brothers and family friends of Kaczmarczyk. The eldest was "involved" with the priest from the age of 7. When he was 10 he started staying overnight in the rectory. At one point Kaczmarczyk had the boy make a "Consecration of the Mystical Rose" and wear a rosary ring on his left hand. The abuse occurred in the rectory of Holy Name of Mary in Donora PA and at Kaczmarczyk's home in FL. Convicted in the 1990s, along with another priest, of mail fraud for operating a phony foundation since 1987 to raise money to build a shrine. Sentenced in 1/1996 to 27 months in prison. Kaczmarczyk spent $495,000 on a FL home and other luxuries. He also took $75,000 worth of items from Holy Name Parish before it closed in 10/1992. The other priest stated at trial that Kaczmarczyk began a sexual "relationship" when he was age 15 in the 1970s, which continued for years. The younger priest said he allowed it to go on because his family was in need and Kaczmarczyk would give them money. 

Named publicly as credibly accused of the sexual abuse of a minor by the Springfield MA diocese on its list 6/2/2021. The abuse allegedly occurred 1973-1981. Kaczorek worked in the diocese 1970-2001: at St. Hyacinth College and Seminary in Granby 1970-1988; St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Chicopee 1988-1990; at St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Basilica in Chicopee 1991-2001. He died in 2016. In 11/2024 the Diocese announced that there were three additional credible allegations against Kaczorek. Another was noted in 2/2026.

Named publicly as credibly accused by the Norbertines of St. Norbert Abbey in WI on its list 7/19/19. One allegation noted. Died 1/27/89.

Named in a 2004 civil suit as having assaulting at least one student at St. Anthony Seminary. Two suits were filed in Fall 2009. Included on the Franciscans' Santa Barbara Province list 5/31/2019, which notes allegations reported in 1993, 2004, 2006 and 2008 of the sexual abuse of minors 1981-1987. Removed from ministry in 1993, living under restrictions. On the Oakland diocese's list in 2019. Included on the Diocese of Fresno's 8/2021 list of credibly accused, where he was assigned 1974-1976.

Assigned to St. Joseph's in Bagley. In 10/2019 was named pastoral associate for the diocese's Formation in Discipleship Office. Placed on leave in 6/2021 due to allegations of child sexual abuse. In 4/2022 Bishop Cozzens announced that the allegations were determined to be founded but did not "constitute a grave delict of sexual abuse of a minor." Kaiser was a minor when the alleged abuse occurred. He was not to be returned to ministry "at this time."

Following a recent court order, on 12/16/2013 Bishop Quinn released a list of 13 names of priests who had credible allegations against them of abuse involving minors. Kaiser's inclusion on this list is the first public notice that he had been accused of abuse. Voluntarily resigned in 3/1968. Died 1/3/1973. The Diocese updated its list 6/23/2014 with additional information. Kaiser was criminally charged in 5/1968 with the sexual abuse of a minor boy (sodomy). He leaded guilty the same month and was sentenced 7/11/1968. In 1/1993, the Diocese received allegations that he abused a boy and a girl after his 1968 resignation. Included on the Santa Fe archdiocese's list 5/19/2021, where he spent time at Via Coeli in Jemez Springs, Las Vegas, Alamogordo, Santa Fe, and Corrales. 

Named publicly as accused by the Saginaw diocese on its list 4/10/2019. Ordained for the Grand Rapids diocese. Died 4/13/1966. Noted to have been accused after his death.

Complaint to the Archdiocese in 2017 that Kalina fondled a 12-year-old boy after plying him with alcohol, cocaine and marijuana during sleepovers in the rectory of St. Kieran in Utica in the mid-1980s. Kalina was the parish pastor. Convicted in 1985 on drug offenses, sentenced in 1986 to six months in jail and two years' probation. Moved to CA in 1986. Left active ministry in 1993. Ran "a faith-based service program for at-risk young men" and referring to himself as "Fr. Neil." Investigated in 2018 by the MI A.G. Arrested in 5/2019 in Littlerock CA, charged with criminal sexual conduct. To be arraigned 2/10/2020 on two charges related to alleged incidents involving a 14-year-old in 1984. On the Detroit archdiocese's list 6/10/2019. Included on the San Bernardino diocese's list in 5/2021, where he was assigned 1987-1989 to parishes in Redlands and Riverside. Convicted in 6/2022. Sentenced on 7/26/2022 to 7-15 years in prison, with credit for 215 days served. Due to a technical error, an appeals court ordered a resentencing in 2024. On 1/9/2025 Kalina was resentenced to 7-15 years in prison.

Member of the Apostles of the Interior Life. Assistant at Holy Spirit in Overland Park when suspended 7/2017 after two people complained of inappropriate conduct by Kallal, one toward an 11-year-old girl. Per the girl's father, the priest tickled her and touched her breast at a St. Patrick's gathering in the summer of 2015. Kallal denied "moral misconduct or malicious intent." Arrested in MD 7/24/2017, where he had been sent for treatment. Charged with two felony counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. Pleaded not guilty. Judge ordered trial. Included on the Archdiocese's list 1/25/2019. Trial in 9/2019 ended in a hung jury. Kallal was to remain on leave of absence. In 9/2021 the District Attorney's Office dismissed the case after determining that a retrial was not in the best interest of the alleged victim. Kallal was to remain on leave pending an investigation by the archdiocese.

Accused in 2005 of abuse in 1959 at St. Alphonsus Parish in Davenport. Died in 1977. One claim settled by the Diocese in 2/2006 as part of a settlement involving four priests. Name appeared on the Diocese's 7/10/2008 list of credibly accused, noting allegations of abuse of three boys. Earliest claimed abuse was in the 1950s. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report. 

Professed vows in 2007. Removed in 12/2018 from his assignment at Chaminade College Prep in West Hills after "credible information" that he engaged in recent inappropriate communication of a sexual nature with a student. Kambhampati had been at the school since 2017. He was also removed from the Marianists' West Hills community. Withdrew from the Marianists in 2021, per the Marianists' list in 11/2021. The updated lists adds to Kambhampati's status, "Sexually abusive contact of a minor through the use of internet/social media."

Named publicly as accused by the Richmond and Arlington dioceses on their lists in 2/19. Died in 1984. Allegation received after Kamerdze's death.

Included on the diocese's list 7/31/2020 of those with substantiated allegations. Ministry restricted 10/9/1994. Retired 4/28/1995. "Charter Suspension" 9/13/2002. Died 12/01/2018. Reportedly, court records show accusations against Kamlage of the abuse of at least six boys, ages 5-18, during visits to the priest's cabin at Lake Carnico. Journals kept by Kamlage 1981-1985 surfaced in 7/2020, in which he asked God for forgiveness for "carnal" behavior, and said of a boy's pending visit, "What fantasies and anticipation."

Removed from active ministry in 11/18 due to allegations he engaged in sexual misconduct with children. Associate pastor at Corpus Christi parish in Mineola.

Sued in 1995. Retired in 2002. Accused of sexually abusing a girl, age 13-16, in 1981-1984. Kept in ministry. Permanently removed from ministry in 2003. Kampa claimed in 2013 that he merely kissed the girl on the lips and gave her a hug on one occasion. Living in Victoria MN in 2013 at age 81. Name appears on the Archdiocese's 12/5/2013 list of priests with credible allegations against them of the sexual abuse of minors.

Accused in a lawsuit filed under the NY Child Victims Act in 10/2019 of sexually abusing an altar boy  repeatedly during 1988-1990. The abuse allegedly began when the boy was age 9 or 10 and Kampfer was pastor of St. John the Baptist in Chestertown. Kampfer's accuser also alleged abuse on one occasion during that time by Bishop Hubbard, who was invited to the rectory by Kampfer. Kampfer died in 2003.

Extern priest from the Diocese of Ratchburi, Thailand. Began working in Boston in 1977. Arrested in 1983, charged with molesting a girl, age 9. Also molested her two brothers. Received probation; refused treatment. Cardinal Law asked that he be recalled to Thailand. Cardinal Medeiros had already withdrawn Kanchong's right to say Mass and act as a priest in 1983 after negative letter from bishop in Thailand. Refused to return to Thailand. Living in the Meeting House Hill section of Dorchester in Boston as of 7/5/2016. Omitted from Boston archdiocesan list on 8/25/2011. Included on the list in 10/2018, noted to be AWOL. Status remains the same in 8/2022.

Died 5/19/1986. Accused by his sister, after his death, of sexually abusing her son; she further alleged that "something was [also] going on with a young man" who lived with Kane in his family home. The 8/2011 Boston Archdiocese list reported no formal determination of guilt either because Kane died prior to a canonical investigation or it was not complete at his death. There was a settlement in 2020, in the high five figures. In this case, Kane was accused of sexually abusing an altar boy, age 11-12, in 1973 or 1974, while assigned to St. Mary's in Billerica.

Accused in a 1994 civil suit of the sexual abuse of a youth in 1982 at St. Bartholomew's in Cape Elizabeth. Kane had been placed on limited ministry in 1987. The claim settled in 1995. Kane retired in 1997 from duties as a hospital chaplain. In 1/2007 it was announced that the Vatican had ordered Kane to lead a life of prayer and penance. He died 11/13/2010.

Named publicly by the diocese on its list sometime after 12/2018. Categorized under "removed from ministry due to allegation of abuse of a minor before 2002 or, determined to have substantial evidence of abuse of a minor before 2002." Kane died 7/28/2009. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report.

Named publicly as accused on the diocese's list 8/19/18. Died in 1985.

Accused in a 1993 lawsuit of sexually abusing a boy 1968-1979, starting when the boy was age 9. Allegedly offered the boy to other priests for sex. Settled in 1995. Often associated with Revs. Thomas Teczar and Victor Frobas. Co-founder and director of House of Affirmation, a treatment center for clergy in Whitensville MA. Left in 1986 after allegations of financial improprieties; skimmed funds to buy resort properties in FL and ME. Left the diocese in 1993. Continued to receive financial support from the diocese while working in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico, as director of the Worldwide Teachers Institute, which he helped found. Kane lived in a house near the institute, and had young men and boys living with him. He fled in 12/2002 after news in Boston of allegations against him and that he might be in Jalisco. Voluntary laicization in 2012, announced 3/5/2013.

Documents released in 4/2010 show that in 2002 the Vicar General of the Memphis diocese found credible an allegation that Kantner had abused a teenage boy over several years in the late 1970s. In 2004 the Bishop wrote a letter of recommendation that allowed Kantner to work on a mission trip to Mexico; the Bishop admitted later that he may have put children in harm's way. Kantner denied abuse. He worked in the Allentown diocese 2001 and 2002, 2003 and 2004 and was back in Memphis in 2005. In 2006 a former seminarian complained that Kantner had subjected him to aggressive behavior and sexual advances years prior. The Diocese called  the allegations "inconclusive." Kept in ministry, sent to counseling. Kantner died 2/17/2013. Included in the Diocese's 2020 report of those with credible allegations against them of the sexual abuse of minors.

The "Polka Padre." Accused in a 1989 lawsuit of sexually abusing a 12-year-old boy for two years, 1973-1974, after the boy sought counseling. Accused of sexual battery and clergy malpractice. Suit settled in 1990. In 1995 four men filed lawsuits claiming abuse as minors by Kapoun 1966-1981. In 2/1996 a jury awarded $550K in damages and $600K punitives to one victim. Decision overturned due to the statute of limitations. A second case settled and in a third the jury found outside SOL. Permanently removed in 2002. Admitted to at least three allegations. Included on the Archdiocese's list in 2013 of credibly accused. Still receiving funds from the Archdiocese for medical pension as of 2014. Died 12/10/2020 in Palmetto, FL.

Monsignor. Longtime director of Catholic Charities. Named as credibly accused in the CO Attorney General's  supplemental report released 12/1/2020. Kapushion's accuser told the Diocese 4/7/2020 that Kapushion sexually abused him as a teenager in 1984 at a Christmas party at the priest's home. The boy was a resident of Sacred Heart Orphanage where Kapushion was his counselor. Kapushion died 4/20/2020. The Diocese reportedly waited until after the priest's death to inform law enforcement of the allegation.

Allegation in 3/1980 of recent abuse. Sent to House of Affirmation for treatment. Placed on leave in 1985 due to report of recent abuse of an 8th grade boy. Sent to St. Luke Institute for evaluation and treatment. Reassigned to non-parish ministries. A third report in 10/1991 of past abuse of a 13- to 14-year-old altar boy. Karabin admitted to abusing two other boys. Accused in 1997 of abuse of a college youth. Formally withdrew from ministry in 2002. Accused in a 4/2004 suit of molesting a youth in 1983 and 1984. Accused by two others in a 9/2004 suit. Claims included in the diocese's 9/2007 $1.25M settlement with 32 plaintiffs alleging abuse by 17 priests. Died in 2016. Named in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Included on the diocese's list of credibly accused.

Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia. Placed on leave in 3/20 due to an allegation of sexual misconduct involving a male minor in 2011. Karalus allegedly used inappropriate words during confession. Karalus emphatically denied the allegation. The diocese announced 5/28/20 that the Diocesan Review Board found the allegation to be unsubstantiated, and the D.A. found no basis to file charges. Karalus was returned to active ministry.

Named publicly as credibly accused by the Diocese on its list in 6/2021. Allegedly abused a minor 1967-1968 while assigned to St. Anthony's (Maronite Rite) in Springfield. Died in 2013.

A woman sued in 1993 alleging that when she was age 11 Kardas referred to her as his girlfriend, kissed her in the rectory, and often attempted to caress her. The behavior allegedly occurred for a year. He was in his mid-twenties. The suit was settled in 1995 for $55K. Another women had complained about Kardas prior to the 1993 allegation. Placed on leave in 1993. Remained on leave until his death in 8/2006.

Publicly accused in the Monterey diocese in 2003 of abuse of an 11-year-old boy in 1973-1974. Three other alleged victims corroborated the charges. Criminal charges were dismissed in 2003 due to Supreme Court ruling regarding statutes of limitations. Kareta also admitted abusing a youth in the 1960s in WI. Accuser told the L.A. Archdiocese in 1985; Kareta was kept active. Died 10/4/2006. Personnel file released in 1/2013. On the Monterey Diocese's list 1/2/2019. It notes a report received in 2002 of abuse in the 1970s. Included on the Fresno diocese's 8/2021 list of credibly accused. Included in 10/2022 on the Chicago archdiocese's list. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report.

Monsignor. Worked in Detroit, Ecorse and Orion. Police chaplain. Died in 1993. The archdiocese announced in 6/2018 that it had investigated and deemed credible an allegation received the previous year that Karey had sexually abused a girl under age 16, in the early to mid years of his priesthood.

"Mother Loyola"; "Sr. Maria Rufina"; "Sr. Mary Rufina". From Impfinger, Germany. Arrived in the U.S. in 1927 or 1928 to join the Ursuline order. Made vows in 1931. Assigned to Holy Family in Browning for three years. Final vows in 1934. Assigned in about 1937 to St. Ignatius Mission Boarding School in MT, where she reportedly worked for 26 years. Became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1941. She also worked at Ursuline Academy in Great Falls, and the Novitiate at Santa Rosa, CA. Transferred to St. Mary's AK in 1972. Died in 1977. Karges was accused of sexually abusing at least 24 children of the over 500 claimants included in a massive $166M settlement with the Jesuits in 2011. The abuse occurred in the 1950s and early 1960s at St. Ignatius Mission. Karges was the school's cook and supervisor of the boys' dorm; she would take individual boys back to her room at night for sex. Named in large lawsuit filed in 10/2011 by multiple plaintiffs.

Accused in 11/2018 of sexually abusing an altar boy, age 13, in the late 1970s. Karl allegedly took the boy to his cabin, drugged and then abused him. Karl also allegedly took pictures. The boy told his mother who did not want to report it. He said he called the Diocese eight years later, at age 21, and was told by a secretary there was nothing they could do.

Removed in 9/1993 pending the investigation of an allegation that he had been involved in sexual misconduct with a male youth about 20 years prior. Permanently removed from active priesthood in 6/1994. Per the diocesan website 1/24/2009, his status was "Administrative Leave/Retired." Died 5/1/2012. Include on the diocese's list of credibly accused 12/19/2018. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report.

"Fr. K." Resigned in 3/2002 after allegations that he had sexually abused at least two teenage girls in the 1960s-1970s.  Another woman made separate allegations in 5/2002. The Boston Herald's 9/2002 list of accused Fall River priests reported that there were four allegations against Kaszynski, all beyond the statute of limitations. Included in 1/2021 on the Diocese's list of credibly accused. Died 2/7/2014.

From Tanzania. Attended the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, OH. Assigned to three Fargo diocese parishes when placed leave in 4/2019 during an investigation of an "interaction" with a minor while assigned to Sts. Anne and Joachim in Fargo. Investigators said an incident occurred when Katanga lived in Towner, in McHenry County, and involved a 6-year-old girl; as of 8/2019 McHenry County prosecution was possible. Two incidents involving the girl allegedly occurred in Fargo, but the Cass County Attorney's Office determined in 8/2019 that there would be no criminal charges there due to lack of evidence and no witnesses. The Diocese was to investigate after the completion of the McHenry County investigation. The state A.G. announced in 11/2019 that there would be no charges, due to insufficient evidence.

A woman contacted the Archdiocese of Detroit in 1/2009 alleging that Kaucheck had engaged in sexual misconduct with her in 1976 when she was 16 and in counseling with him at Guardian Angels in Clawson. At that time, a friend learned that the two had traveled to FL together and told a deacon who told the pastor. The girl's father met with the pastor; Kaucheck was transferred. After the 2009 events, Kaucheck was placed on leave effective 4/23/2009; the Review Board deemed the  complaint substantive. He resigned his positions as pastor of St. Mary's in Royal Oak and St. James' in Ferndale. Not prosecuted because the girl was older than the MI age of consent at the time. In 2015, with a nun, Kaucheck founded Gianna House Pregnancy and Parenting Residence, a facility for pregnant teens in Eastpointe. According to the Archdiocese, Kaucheck resigned from the center on 4/17/2016. Kaucheck filed suit v SNAP and two newspapers 1/30/2017 alleging defamation; he 'vehemently maintained his innocence'. Died 7/18/2024.

Accused in a lawsuit filed 2/2/2017 of the sexual abuse and assault of a 17-year-old girl on 12/25/2013 in the parking lot of Sacred Heart Church in Salisbury, NC. Kaup, age 27, was a seminarian and youth minister at the parish. The suit alleges also that Kaup continued to have sex with the girl until mid-2014. A police investigation in 2016 did not result in charges. Kaup left the seminary in 5/2014 and was hired to work as a youth minister at a Huntersville parish. Diocesan officials maintained that the pastor, for whom Kaup had worked at Sacred Heart, did not know of the allegations. Kaup left the Huntersville job in summer 2016. Kaup countersued, saying the two had been in a dating relationship and that her parents approved.

Removed in 2002. Accused of improper relationship with a minor male, including inappropriate touching. Denied allegation. Vatican ordered a church trial in 2006. In 9/06 plaintiff produced letter written to him by Kavanagh in 12/84 which appeared to substantiate the abuse. Two Church trials held. Laicization announced in 12/10 after appeal denied. Kavanagh filed suit in 3/11 against accuser. In 9/12, he sued the NY Archdiocese for libel, stating that his accuser had recanted and apologized. On archdiocese's list 4/26/19.

Accused in 2002 of abuse in about 1973-1974, while assigned to Cathedral Chapel. Placed on leave. Police investigation. Named in the Archdiocese's 2004 report.

From India. Arrived in Gary as a visiting priest in 1978. First named publicly as credibly accused by the Gary diocese on its list released 8/27/2018, with six allegations. In 3/2002 the Diocese received a report of abuse by Kavungal in 1982. He was assigned 1981-1984 to Ss. Peter and Paul in Merrillville. He reportedly returned to India by 11/1985, working at schools until 1998. In 9/2000 he went to Sweden, where a woman accused him of sexual harassment; he left Sweden in 1/2004. From 2004-2005 Kavungal was director of a school in Kenya. He returned to India in 2005, where he was Superior of a school until 2008 in Chalakudy, and had the same position until 2001 in New Mumbai. 

From Poland. Ordained for the Greenburg diocese. Placed on leave in 5/19 pending investigation by law enforcement of an allegation that he sexually abused a minor fifteen years prior. Pastor of St. Joseph in Everson and St. John the Baptist in Scottdale at the time of his suspension. Arrested in 8/20, charged with indecent assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with an altar boy for three years, beginning in 2004 when the boy was age 11. The abuse  occurred at St. Cyril and Methodius Church in Fairchance. Kawecki pleaded no contest on 10/25/21. Required to register as a sex offender for ten years. Sentenced in 3/22 to 2 1/2 to 5 years in state prison.

In 9/13 a parent reported to the diocese concerns that Kayda was having inappropriate interactions with their minor daughter on Facebook. The diocese confronted Kayda and had his computer forensically examined. Pornographic images of adolescents were found, as well as internet visits to child porn websites. Kayda died by suicide 10/3/13 at age 27. He wrote several suicide notes which alluded to his having been an abuse victim. He did not name his abuser. Named as accused by the diocese on its list 8/1/18. Included in the PA Grand Jury Report 8/14/18.

Named publicly as accused by the Brooklyn Diocese on its list updated in 2/2019. Kayser died 6/3/2010.

Monsignor. Removed from active ministry as pastor of St. Tobias in Brockway in 5/13/19 due to allegations that he sexually abused a minor in the 1980s, while assigned to St John the Baptist in Erie. On 6/1/20 the diocese announced that the allegations could not be substantiated and Kaza was returning to active ministry.

Monsignor. Died 6/3/2001. Accused in a 2019 lawsuit of sexually abusing a 12-year-old for about a year, beginning in 1975. His alleged victim attended St. Casimir parish in Kaisertown. In 8/2021 the Diocese announced that its Review Board had determined that the allegations against Kazmierczak were substantiated. Added to the Diocese's list of credibly accused.

In 2018 a man told the Buffalo diocese that Kealy humiliated him as a youth by making him expose his private parts. Kealy worked in the diocese at Bishop Timon High School 1951-1958. He died in NJ 10/17/14.

Retired by 1984. A man told the Archdiocese and the Order in 1989 that Kealy, a teacher at Bishop O'Dea High School in Seattle, had physically accosted him "in a sexual manner" in the early 1960s. The Order said Kealy was living in a supervised, church-run retirement facility in Ireland with no access to children. The same man filed suit in 2003. Kealy died 10/22/1996. Named in a new 11/22/2011 suit by 6 of 7 plaintiffs. On 6/25/2014 the Archdiocese announced a $12.1M settlement of 30 claims against the Order and the Archdiocese, Briscoe School in Kent Valley and Seattle's Bishop O'Dea High School. Five of the claims involved abuse by "Feely Kealy." Name included on the Archdiocese's list 1/15/2016 of clergy and religious with admitted, established or credible allegations against them of sexual abuse of a minor. Worked at Briscoe Memorial School in the summers of 1958 and 1959, O'Dea High 1954-1963; 1977-1980.

Chancellor. Lawyer, handled sex abuse cases in the Archdiocese. Member of the Archdiocesan Review Board. Quietly left Chancellor position in 1992 after a young adult reported that Kealy had made a pass at him at a party. Appointed pastor of Immaculate Conception in Highland Park. Report in 6/2001 of inappropriate sexual conduct with a 15- or 16-year-old boy in the 1970s at St. Germaine in Oak Lawn. Denied abuse, admitted to smoking marijuana and drinking with boys in the 1970s. No action by Review Board until complainant came forward again in 2002, threatening to go public. Kealy admitted to the abuse and to abusing two other children. Resigned from parish in 3/2002. Faculties removed "for at least a year" in 7/2005. Included in 3/2006 on the Archdiocese's list of those with substantiated allegations. Resigned from active ministry in 4/2006. As of 2014 was still a priest, working as a lawyer. Laicized in 12/2018. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report, which notes additional allegations of abuse received after 2006. 

First named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Included on the Allentown diocese 8/19/2018 list. of credibly accused. Report to the diocese in 12/1992 that Kean abused a boy over several years, starting when he was age 12 and Kean was pastor of SS Peter and Paul in Tower City. Kean was at the parish 1/1977-1/1983. Kean acknowledged the abuse and to abusing the boy's friend. May have been sent to Paracletes in NM for treatment. More victims identified by the Grand Jury, found in secret archives. A second man contacted the diocese in 1999 claiming abuse as a teenage altar boy in the 1970s in Tower City. A third man came forward in 4/2002, saying that Msgr. William Jones sexually abused him then introduced him to and "shared" him with Kean. He said Kean performed oral sex on him and other boys in his Tower City bedroom. Reports in 2005 of abuse of two more: a Tower City altar boy ages 10-15 and an Ashland boy 1987-1988, who went on to be heroin-addicted and suicidal. Kean retired in 2002. Laicized 6/26/2007.

Pleaded guilty in 2/2008 to indecent assault and battery on a person under age 14 and three counts of assault and battery. Charged with assaulting a girl between 1981 and 1983 when he was at St. Elizabeth Parish in Milton and/or Our Lady of the Rosary in Stoughton. Sentenced to 30 days in jail and probation. Transferred to another church in 1987. Absent from the archdiocese without leave from 1989. Moved to FL. Registered sex offender. Involuntary laicization in 2009 announced 6/13/2011. Included on the Boston archdiocese's list of accused 8/25/2011. Died 5/17/2021.

A man told church authorities in 1994 of repeated abuse when he was a teenager in the early 1980s by Keane in a Metairie rectory. Keane was sent for treatment; left the priesthood. The Archdiocese did not apologize or notify parishes. Keane admitted the abuse in a sworn deposition in 1999. Settlement in 2003. Included on the Archdiocese's list 11/2/2018. Noted to have been removed from ministry in 1995, after a report in 1994 of abuse in the 1980s.

Named publicly as accused by the Columbus diocese on its list 3/1/2019. Assigned in MA, CA and OH. Left the priesthood and married. Died in FL at age 90 in 2011.

Named publicly as credibly accused by the Columbans' U.S. Province on its list in 2/2022. Multiple allegations are noted, of abuse occurring in the 1980s. The list does not provide information as to where the abuse occurred. Keaney was assigned to the Philippines in 1967 where he remained, except for vacations back in the U.S., until 1989. He returned to his home town of Winchester, MA. (We are placing him in the Omaha archdiocese, where the Columban Fathers' foreign missions office was headquartered.) Keaney died in 2018 in Winchester, MA. Included in the 3/4/2026 RI Attorney General's Report. Per the report, Kearney was assigned in the Diocese Providence 1998-2003.

Removed as head of San Lorenzo Seminary in Santa Ynez in 2002 due to accusations of abusing boys 1971-1984. At least two civil suits filed. Archdiocesan report shows 11 accusers. Inactive status. Lawsuit filed in 12/2019 under the CA Child Victims Act, claiming abuse of a boy, ages 15-17, in 1984-1986. The boy was a student at St. Francis High School in La Canada Flintridge, and an altar server. Kearney taught at St. Francis High 1970-1995. Removed from the school in 1995 after allegations. Would allegedly sexually abuse boys under the guise of wrestling. Five more suits to be filed naming Kearney, per attorneys in 12/2019.

From Ireland. Named publicly as accused by the Diocese on its list in early 2019. Allegation received in 4/2002 of abuse in the late-1980s, while Kearney was assigned to St. John the Evangelist in Prairieville. His faculties were removed in 2002. Removed from priestly ministry. (The Diocese notes that this is not the priest with the same name ordained in 1938.) Accused in a lawsuit(s) filed sometime between 6/2024 and 1/2026.

Francis Maurus Kearns. Accused in a lawsuit filed in 6/20 under the NY Child Victims Act of sexually abusing a minor in about 1965-67 at St. Joseph's in Dannemora. Died 2/4/90.

Named publicly as accused by the archdiocese on its list 4/26/19. Claims against Kearns eligible for the IRCP. Died in 1985.

Ordained at age 46. A woman filed suit 10/14/2013 alleging he sexually abused her in the late 1990s for 2-3 years, beginning when she was 13 and he was in seminary and would visit her family for meals. She told her family in 2006 and went to the Archdiocese. After investigating, the Archdiocese found insufficient evidence yet placed him under certain restrictions. Keating went on leave 10/13/2013 from the University of St. Thomas. Police reports indicate the possible sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl in Italy. Keating denied all allegations. Not included on the Archdiocese's 12/5/2013 list of accused. Keating resigned 9/17/20/14 from his position at St. Thomas. Claim included in a $210M settlement with 450 MN victims in 5/2018.

Accused in a 2003 lawsuit of sexually abusing a teenage girl in 1982. Per the plaintiff, she was raped by Msgr. John M. Zeder 1978-81, and then by Keating after she told him about Zeder. Both priests were assigned to St. Mary's in Cortland, where the girl was a parishioner and worked as a maid. Other alleged victims came forward after publicity around the first case. Three sisters told their story in 1/04 and filed civil suit. Keating remained in ministry until 2/04. He denied all allegations. Privileges removed in 12/04. Case was to be sent to Vatican. Both suits dismissed by appeals court 9/06 on SOL. Keating died 11/17/16. On diocese's list 12/31/18. In 5/20 a 57-year-old man filed suit, claiming Keating sexually abused him as a child in Binghamton, beginning in 1973.

Name added in 8/2019 to the Archdiocese's list of those with substantiated allegations against them of child sexual abuse. Keaty died in 1999.

Ordained in 1911. Born in Austria, educated in Slovenia, ordained for the Diocese of Pittsburgh after attending seminary in Latrobe PA. Pastor of Sacred Heart in McKeesport 1916-1934 then St. Mary's 1934-1966. Died 9/19/1969. Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list in 10/2022.

Personnel file released in 12/2002. Accused in 1995 of a sexual attack on a 15-year-old altar boy. Keefe maintained his innocence and refused for three years to undergo psychological assessment. Removed from his parish assignment in 1995 for "health reasons." Several efforts were made by archdiocesan staff to have Keefe returned to active ministry. Left the priesthood in 1999. Voluntary laicization in 2009 announced 8/20/2010. The Boston archdiocese list in 8/2011 notes that the case concluded canonically.

Ordained for San Francisco.  Complaints of abuse of children to the Archdiocese as early as 1965. May have abused at least 80 children in CA. Was moved to the Santa Rosa diocese, where he was assigned 1976-1981. Stripped of duties by the San Francisco Archdiocese in 1982. Moved to Baja Mexico, found there by a news crew in 1994. Civil suit in 1994 alleged abuse of a boy at St. Eugene's in the Santa Rosa diocese. Settled in 1995 for $450K. Living in Oceanside, CA when indicted in 9/2002, charged with the molestation and sodomy of two boys, ages 10 and 14, in the late 1960s. Fled to Mexico, where he was working at an orphanage. Arrested in Puerta Vallarta in 3/2003, charged with 75 counts of abuse of three Sonoma County children. Charges dropped in 2003 due to Supreme Court ruling on statutes of limitation. On Santa Rosa diocese's list of accused 1/12/2019. On Las Cruces diocese's list of credibly accused 6/24/2019, where he worked in 1991. Died 10/22/2021. Named in new lawsuit(s) in 2022.

Professed vows in 1945. Worked in Dayton OH, Hamilton OH, Pittsburgh PA and Brooklyn NY. Left the Order in 1962. Died in 2007. In 4/2014 a man alleged abuse as a minor by Keegan at North Catholic High School in Pittsburgh 1957-1961. After the Pittsburgh diocese sought information on other possible victims, two brothers came forward. Diocese said it knew nothing of the allegations until 2014. Head of the Marianists apologized in writing to the diocese and students. By 5/2014 six men had reported sexual abuse by Keegan as minors at North Catholic during 1956-1961. Included on the Marianists' 6/24/2020 list of accused.

Allegations against Keehan of sexual misconduct date back to 1967-1974, during his first assignment at St. Basil in Chicago. Removed from public ministry in 6/2002. Keehan said he would appeal the decision. The Archdiocese had determined years prior that there was "reasonable cause to believe" that Keehan had abused children. Included on the Archdiocese's list in 3/2006 of those with substantiated allegations against them. Keehan's computer was  taken away from him in 9/2010 as he was accessing numerous social networking sites, most child-oriented. In 1/2013 the Archdiocese recommended he enroll in a technology course to prevent his continued reliance on his "ignorance" of technology. Last known to be living at a Catholic Charities nursing home in Palos Park, IL. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report, which notes two "reported survivors." Accused in a lawsuit filed in 4/2024 of sexually abusing an altar boy and student at St. Ann Parish and Elementary School 1994-1997.  

Named publicly as accused on the Buffalo diocese's list updated 11/5/2018. Accused in a lawsuit filed under the NY Child Victims Act 9/13/2019 of sexually abusing a boy, ages 15-17, in 1983-1985. The boy was a Bishop Turner High School student and Keeler was Vice-Principal and Dean of Discipline. Keeling allegedly took the boy on overnight trips and gave him alcohol and cigarettes. Keeling taught 1974-1979 at Bethlehem Catholic High School in the Diocese of Allentown PA. Keeling was transferred in 1981 to the Buffalo NY diocese. Per the Buffalo diocese's list in 9/2025, Keeling was removed from ministry and ordered to live a life of prayer and penance.

Accused in 1998 of masturbating two boys, one age 13 and the other mentally challenged, in Keenan's family home in Malden in 1977. Also insisted that they masturbate him. Died in 1995. Omitted from the Boston Archdiocese's 2011 database.

Accused in a lawsuit filed in 6/20 of sexually abusing a group of four or five boys at St. Mary's in Waterford in the early 1980s. The boys, who were as young as 7 or 8, were Sunday school students. Keffer allegedly took them to a back room under the guise of selecting altar boys, had them put their heads down, then fondled their genitals. He is said to have warned the boys that, if they told, God would punish them. Keffer died 2/6/05.

"Frank." Named publicly as accused by the Jesuits Central and Southern Province on its list 12/7/2018. Left the Jesuits in 1953. Allegation of abuse in the 1940s received after 1953. Unclear as to where alleged abuse occurred. Worked at Jesuit high schools in St. Louis and Kansas City, MO. Died in 2009.

Born 8/12/1893, ordained in 1/1927. Died 5/11/1969. First named publicly by the Mobile archdiocese as credibly accused on its list 12/6/2018. (Name spelled 'Kiel'.) Worked in the 1950s at St. Joseph's in Maysville AL. Name included on the Galveston-Houston archdiocese's list 1/31/2019 (shows 'Kyles' as an alternate spelling.) Worked in Houston before his assignment in the Mobile archdiocese and again in the 1960s. As a Josephite, Keil's ministry was in African-American churches. Worked in Tampa FL in the 1930s and was transferred to Baton Rouge LA in 1938. Assigned to a New Orleans parish 1930-1931 and 1953-1955. In Tampa he was an organizer of the African-American Boy Scouts movement and a director of the Urban League.

Ordained for the Jesuits. Incardinated into the San Diego diocese in 1961. Accused in a lawsuit of molesting a 12-year-old boy in 1985. Settled in 1999 for $95K. The alleged victim's mother said she complained repeatedly to the diocese, but no action. Keith denied all charges. He admitted to being a recovering alcoholic. Retired in 1990. Died in 5/2003. Included on the San Diego diocese's list of credibly accused 3/30/2007. New suit filed in 2008. Settled in 4/2010. Personnel file released in 10/2010.

Pastor of St. Mary's in Seekonk 1956-1971, among other assignments. Retired in 1981. Died 6/9/1993. Included in 1/2021 on the Diocese's list of credibly accused.

From Ireland. Retired in 7/2012 after spending his entire career in the Duluth diocese. The Diocese announced in 10/2013 that over a year earlier, in 9/2012, it had received a credible allegation that Kelleher had sexually abused a minor female during his time as pastor of St. Joseph Church in Chisholm from 1975 to 1986. His privileges as a retired priest were removed in 10/2012.

From Ireland. Trappist monk in Ireland and New Zealand for many years prior to leaving the order. Took the name "Gregory" as a Trappist. Incardinated into Raleigh diocese in 1966, then to the Charlotte diocese when it was created in 1971. Retired in 7/1999. Removed in 7/2010 from his assignment as chaplain at Bishop McGuinness High School after an allegation of sexual misconduct with a 14-year-old boy in 1977 in Albemarle, NC. He was assigned there 4/1973 - 8/1977. Police were notified in 9/2009 and told the Diocese shortly thereafter. Charges were filed in 7/2010. Kelleher was arrested then released on bail 7/8/2010. A second accuser came forward a week later. No criminal charges were filed. Both men sued in 9/2011. Kelleher admitted to having abused in 1977. There are multiple other accusers. Two more men filed suit in 2012; dismissed on the statute of limitations on  6/20/2014. Criminal charges to abuse which Kelleher had confessed were dismissed 7/1/2014 due to his dementia. He died 8/20/2014. The Charlotte bishop was to preside at Kelleher's memorial mass. Included on the Raleigh diocese's list in 10/2018 and on the Charlotte diocese's 12/29/2019 list of credibly accused. A lawsuit was filed 4/13/2020.

Placed on leave in 2002 after allegations that he had molested teens, both male and female, in the 1980s. Several of the teens said they gave depositions to the Diocese in the late 1980s. In 10/2003 Keller's supervising priest, Vincent Gallo, was named as an abuser in a massive civil suit naming 24 priests. Per the Diocese's list in 2/2019, Keller was permanently removed from ministry 10/28/2011.

Name included on a list released by St. John's Abbey 12/9/2013 of monks likely to have offended against minors. Keller died 11/26/1978. In a letter dated 6/7/2011, sub-Prior Licari acknowledged that a man alleged that Keller sexually abused him as a child 1956-1957, and that there were other credible allegations against Keller.

Accused in 2002 of giving a 16-year-old boy wine, then fondling him in bed during a trip in the early 1980s. Keller also wrote "love letters" to the boy. Keller denied abuse but admitted holding the youth in a "manner inappropriate for a priest." Archdiocese said conduct did not fit definition of sex abuse. Kept in ministry, including during the archdiocese's investigation. Pastor in 2019 of Prince of Peace parish in Houston, there since 1999. In 12/18 another man alleged abuse as a minor by Keller. Suspended 1/31/19 pending investigation. Bishop allowed him to celebrate one last mass prior to suspension. On archdiocese's list 1/31/19. In 5/19 Keller requested retirement "for age and medical reasons." In 6/19 a third man alleged abuse by Keller at age 15.

An allegation of past abuse at St. Rita's in Lowell was made in 11/1997. The Diocesan Review Board found no credible evidence and Kelley agreed to move. In 4/2002, the Personnel Committee learned of a second allegation against Kelley. A woman said she reported it to Sr. Rita McCarthy at the time and that McCarthy said there were no other allegations against Kelley. Per the Archdiocese's 8/2011 list, the allegations were unsubstantiated. Kelley retired without restrictions. In 10/2015 Kelley was a 'senior priest' and in residence at All Saints in Haverhill. Accused in suit filed in 4/2016 of the sexual abuse of boy, ages 10-13, 1973-1976 at St.Thomas Aquinas in Jamaica Plain. Alleged abuse include oral sex and sodomy. Kelley denied wrongdoing. Settled in 1/2018. Reportedly died 3/17/2020 in Lawrence, MA although his death is not indicated on the archdiocese's list in 8/2022.

At least 38 men have filed suit alleging forced oral sex, rape, and other abuse by Kelley when they were minors. At least four complaints in 1983 prompted transfer to a new parish. After complaints in 1986, Archbishop Pilarczyk sent Kelley to the Servants of the Paracletes for treatment, then assigned him to a hospital chaplaincy with a parish residence and ministry. More allegations 1993-1994. Removed in 2002. Allowed to be a counselor until lawsuits in 2003 were reported. Suit withdrawn after 5/31/2006 ruling by Ohio Supreme Court. Kelley died in 6/2009. Included in 2006 on the Archdiocese's list of credibly accused.

In 1977 police spotted Kelley in a car with a 17-year-old boy during an apparent sex act and told the Archdiocese. Also accused of taking boys from Boston to Camp Fatima in NH and abusing them. One man told the Archdiocese in 1992 that Kelley fondled his genitals at age 11 in 1968 and 1969. The case settled for $10K in 1995. Placed on sick leave 1993-1996. Named in several lawsuits, beginning in 2002. One 2005 suit against Kelley and two others settled for $475K in 12/2008. Assigned to a life of prayer and penance in 2005. Died 8/10/2011. Included on the archdiocese's list 8/25/2011.

Accused in 1989 of the sexual abuse of a youth who had just turned 18. Kelley had known the boy since he was a child. The youth reported it to the Archdiocese immediately; no action. He complained again in 2002; Kelley was sent to St. Luke's in MD for treatment. Placed on leave 8/2002. The Archdiocese's investigation did not clear Kelley who did admit to misconduct with adults. Included on the Archdiocese's 10/12/2018 list. Noted to have two victims, who were allegedly abused in 1990 and 1992.

Convicted in 1990 and 2003. Admitted abusing 50-100 girls 1976-1983. Sentenced to two separate prison terms (1990-1996 and 2003-2008) for different abuses. Registered sex offender. Several civil suits. First civil suit filed in 1993. In 1997 one plaintiff was awarded $527K from Kelley. Ceased to be active priest in 1986. Two lawsuits settled in 2006. Laicized in 6/2015, after which diocesan support was discontinued. In 2015 he was reportedly living in a homeless shelter in Boston.

Name included on the Erie diocese's list 4/6/2018 and the 814/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Parish priest, "Special Ministry" at St. Mark's Seminary, and Dean of North American College in Rome, Italy 9/1985-6/1989. On Diocesan Review Board 3/1992-619/94. Allegations of "inappropriate sexual contact" with at least five males; victims were high school or seminary students, ages 18-25. Sent to Southdown in Canada for treatment 9/1995, and 4/1996-9/1996. Returned to ministry as a parish pastor in Stockton, TX, Diocese of San Angelo. Died 2/21/2005. Settlement in the high five figures in 2020 of a claim of abuse of an altar boy, age 12, at least three times in 1968, at St. Peter's Cathedral.

Ordained for the Buffalo diocese. On leave from the priesthood 1986-2002 before receiving permission to return to active ministry. Per the NY AG in its 11/23/2020 complaint against the Buffalo diocese, Kelley [referred to as "Fr. L."] left ministry in FL for 16 years, working for a state child services agency. Named in a civil suit filed in 9/2003 in FL. Accused of the sexual abuse of a 13-year-old boy in 1983 during a trip from Buffalo to FL. Some dispute as to whether Kelley was part of the Buffalo diocese at time of abuse or St. Petersburg FL diocese. In 11/2003 a second man alleged abuse before Kelley left Buffalo. Kelley resigned. Included on the Diocese of Buffalo's 3/20/2018 list as removed, retired, or having left ministry after allegations of the sexual abuse of a minor.

Named as credibly accused by the Society of the Divine Word Chicago Province on its list 4/18/2021. Abuse noted to have occurred in 1971 in Washington DC. Assigned in the Order's Southern Province in 1968, Techny IL 1969, WDC 1969-1972, Chicago 1973-1974, Indianapolis IN 1975-1978, and again Chicago 1979-1986. Dismissed from the Order in 1987. Founded a youth center for teenage gang members in Indianapolis in 1974. Continued to work there as a priest after his dismissal, "without any church affiliation," per a 1992 news article. Died in 2004. Included on the Chicago Archdiocese's list 5/4/2023. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report.

Placed on leave 2/2004 after archdiocese investigated allegations that he sexually abused a minor boy about 30 years prior. Matter reported to civil authorities in 2003. Review committee found the allegations "substantive." Had gone on leave of absence in 1973 and sabbatical in 1992. Army National Guard chaplain for 12 years; spent 8 months overseas during Persian Gulf War in 1991. Sued 5/2004 by man who alleged abuse in third grade. Permanently removed from public ministry in 2005. Included on the archdiocese's list 6/10/2019. Died 1/3/2021.

Ordained for the Diocese of Charleston S.C. Left the priesthood prior to the late 1960s. Married. Accused in 1998 of abusing his two stepchildren during 1972-1976. Pleaded no contest to criminal charges in 1998. Received a 3-year probated sentence with registration as a sex offender.

Kelly's name was released by St. John's Abbey 9/19/2017 as having been added to its list of monks "likely to have offended against minors." Taught music at colleges, including St. John's University. Worked in Collegeville, St. Paul, Minneapolis, Stillwater, Ball Club, Wayzata MN, and in AL during 1961-1962. Left the priesthood in 1973. Died in 2011.

Joined the Irish Christian Brothers in 1948 and professed final vows in 1956. Taught at schools in the Archdiocese of New York and in New Jersey, California and Canada. Principal of Bergen Catholic High in Oradell, New Jersey 1968-1974. Died 11/10/17, at age 90. Named publicly in 11/2021 by Attorney Jeff Anderson as accused in a lawsuit filed under the NJ Victims' Rights Bill.

A former St. John's Prep student accused Kelly of sexually abusing him over a 3-year period. In 1982 the student told the school's counselor, who told the abbot. A lawsuit was filed in 1992 and settled in 7/1993. As of 2002 Kelly had taken a leave of absence from the brotherhood. A 4/2002 article referred to the allegations as credible and said that he acknowledged wrongdoing and sought treatment. Named in new suit in 12/2009. Name on a list of monks likely to have offended against minors released by the Abbey 12/9/2013. Kelly was no longer a St. John's monk.

Accused in a 1994 RICO lawsuit of abuse of six youths in the 1970s and 1980s. One claimant settled for $25K and three others were part of a 3/2003 settlement. Removed from ministry in 1992 and died the same year. Another civil suit filed in 3/2005 alleged molestation by Kelly and two other priests. Spent time in Brazil at some point. On diocese's list 2/13/2019. Sued in 12/2019, accused along with Revs. Jay Shannon and John Bernard of abuse in 1974 of a boy, age 12.

Monsignor. Retired in 2006. Among assignments were Boys Town in NE, Project Hope, Camp St. Andrew (Director), and St. Michael's School in Falls Township (Director in the 1970s). Taught for 25 years in diocesan schools. Named publicly by the Diocese in 10/2020 as accused, with seven allegations against him, four of them deemed credible. All were from men who had been committed as boy's to St. Michael's. Added to the Diocese's list. Kelly denied the allegations. Placed on leave when the allegations were received via the Diocese's Independent Survivors Compensation Program. Settlement in the mid-five figures in 2020 of a claim of abuse of a boy, age 13, in 1978 at St. Michael's. Another allegation was reported in 1/2023. Found guilty under canon law in 7/2024 of the sexual abuse of two children. Permanently prohibited from ministry.

Parishioners complained of Kelly's behavior as early as 1970. He was transferred to two other parishes before he retired 1989. Named in 2003 and 2004 lawsuits. At least 7 plaintiffs alleged abuse as boys in the 1960s-1970s at a cabin in the Santa Ynez Mountains. Died 4/05/2002. Claims included in a massive $660M L.A. archdiocese settlement in 7/2007.

Named publicly as accused by the Diocese on its list 1/12/2019. Accused in 1999 of abuse occurring 1971-1999. Suspended 10/24/1999. Laicized 10/15/2004.

From Ireland. Accused of the sexual abuse, including rape, of multiple children. Psychological evaluation in 1999 after parents complained to the Stockton diocese of inappropriate touching of their children; determined to have "latent pedophilic elements." Moved to another parish. Removed in 10/2007 after a claim that he molested a 10-year-old boy in 1984. Denied the allegation. Reinstated in 3/2008; claimant wouldn't cooperate. Suit filed 3/27/2008. New allegations in 2011 of abuse 2000-2002. Stayed active. Found liable 4/6/2012 by a civil jury of abuse . Privileges removed. Fled to Ireland in 4/2012 after a warrant was issued for his arrest. Calaveras County District Attorney sought extradition. Diocese settled lawsuit 4/20/2012 for $3.75M. New suits in 9/2012 and 11/2012. He denied both. New indictments 1/14/2014. Name included on a list of claimed abusers attached to Stockton Diocese's 5/9/2014 filing in bankruptcy court. Traveled to Mexico and Morocco. Arrested in 2016 by federal authorities in Morocco, held for months, returned to Ireland. The Calaveras County District Attorney dropped the charges in 2016 after Kelly's 26-year-old accuser died. Still wanted in 1/2017 by U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of CA for unlawful flight. New suit filed in 2022 of abuse of a boy in 1979; the boy was a referee in the youth soccer lead Kelly helped found. In 11/2023 the CA Attorney General was to investigate the District Attorney's 2016 dropping of charges.

Named publicly as accused by the Archdiocese on its list 11/30/2018, which notes reports in 1998 of abuse 1956-1996. Kelly retired in 1995 and was removed in 2002. He died in 2003. Per the NE Attorney General's report in 11/2021, Kelly allegedly sexually abused a boy 1956-1966, beginning when the boy was age 6. His victim received a settlement in 2003.

Ordained for the Archdiocese of Hartford. Transferred to the Diocese of Charleston in 1958, incardinated in 1959. Parish priest. Bishop England High School faculty member, rector of the school 1964-1990. Superintendent of Catholic Schools. Elevated to monsignor in 1991. Died in 2004. Accused in a lawsuit filed in 11/3/2021 of sexually abusing a young altar boy in the early 1990s, at St. Andrew's in Myrtle Beach. Kelly's accuser said the priest also abused other altar boys. A second man field suit in 1/2024, alleging abuse by Kelly as a St. Andrew's altar boy, also in the early 1990s.

Per the PA AG's 3/1/16 Grand Jury report, Kelly sexually abused a boy, age 12-13, in 1975-77 while assigned to a State College parish. He reportedly groomed the boy with drive-in movies, drives to the mountains and offers of beer. Victim notified diocese in 1993; Bishop Adamec sent Kelly to treatment then reassigned him, despite being assessed as "pedophilic" and the recommendation he avoid young people. Victim sued in 2003. Report said Kelly also made advances on a 14-year-old boy in 1978. Kelly was identified as one of 9 "predator" priests known to the diocese per lawsuits filed by 5 people against 2 other priests in 2/03. In 5/04 the diocese settled claims for 21 plaintiffs for $3.7M, including claim against Kelly. Remained in ministry until 2/27/15, when removed during internal investigation after review of previous allegations. On Charleston diocese's list 3/29/19. Was visiting priest there.

Br. Benedict Joseph. Joined the Xaverians in 1933. Died in 1976. Named publicly as accused by the Order on its list 7/12/2019. Allegation reported in 1995 of abuse in Baltimore in 1945. The alleged victim said he was abused by Kelly, including rape, at St. Mary's Industrial School from ages 13-16, beginning in about 1945. This accuser said he was also sexually abused at the school by Xaverian Bros. Luanus/Lawrence Meegan and Fabian/Francis Donal, and by Passionist priest Timothy McGrath. Included on the Baltimore archdiocese's list in 7/2019 and in the MD Attorney General's Report 4/5/2023 .

Died 6/15/1990. Included in an Archdiocesan settlement 10/28/2005 for a claim that he sexually abused a child at St. Teresa's. At least one claim was included in the 8/2008 $12.7M settlement. Personnel file released in 1/2014. Included on the Chicago Archdiocese's list 11/28/2018. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report, which states that Kelly was a serial predator. Sexually abused at least 20 boys, ages 11-17, in the 1960s and 1970s. Kelly would groom boys with dinner, movies and concerts, and let them drive his car. He plied them with alcohol, cigarettes and marijuana, gave them pornographic magazines and had them sleep over in the rectory. Archdiocesan files indicate that officials knew of Kelly's behavior as early as 1967, yet they claim the first report of abuse was in 1992.

Abbot of St. John's Abbey in the St. Cloud diocese 1992 -2000. Died in 2010. A man filed suit 6/11 alleging that Kelly sexually abused him in 1966 at St. Anselm's Church in the Bronx. Abbot of St. John's issued a statement saying he had just learned of the accusations in 6/11 and was investigating. Plaintiff said he told the order in 12/10. Multiple alleged victims around the U.S.

Monsignor. Placed on leave in 2002 after a review of diocesan records showed that Kelty was accused of inappropriately touching a young girl on at least two occasions more than 20 years prior. Case beyond statute of limitations, per the D.A.'s office. On diocese's list 2/13/2019. Died 5/15/2018.

Placed on leave in 7/2007 from St. Monica's on Mercer Island after allegations of inappropriate conduct with a 12-year-old boy. The incidents allegedly took place over about 6 months. No criminal charges filed. The Archdiocese concluded its own investigation and and recommendation to the Vatican. In 2/2010 the Vatican announced Kemp's permanent removal from active ministry. On the Archdiocese's list 1/15/2016 of clergy and religious with admitted, established or credible allegations against them of child sexual abuse. Status is 'permanent prayer and penance.'

A man filed suit in 12/2007 accusing Kemp, who posed as a deacon at St. Agnes Parish, of sexually abusing him for several years in the 1980s. The abuse allegedly began when the plaintiff was in second or third grade and continued until he was between 10-13. The boy had gone to Kemp for counseling. Kemp was general manager of a Catholic TV station that had its studios at the parish. The Archdiocese promptly issued a statement denying that Kemp was ever a deacon or ever had privileges of any type, but acknowledge he may have presented himself as a deacon. Kemp was at St. Agnes Parish 1986-1992. He reportedly left MN in 1992, when the Church started doing background checks on clergy. The plaintiff reported the abuse to the Archdiocese in 2002, but no action.

Named publicly by the Diocese on its list 3/20/2018 list as removed, retired, or having left ministry after allegations of the sexual abuse of a minor.  Per the Diocese's list in 1/2022, Kemp was removed from ministry in 2004 and died 3/7/2019.

Accused in a lawsuit filed 8/2019 of sexually abusing a child, about age 6, for about a year in 1971. Pastor in 1971 of St. Rose of Lima in Forestville. Named monsignor in 1981. Retired in 1995. Died in 2009.

First identified publicly as accused by the Santa Fe archdiocese on its list 9/12/2017. Died 11/23/1993. Included in the Diocese of Memphis report 2/28/2020, where he was assigned at some point to two parishes in West TN. On the Knoxville diocese's list as of 3/6/2020. Included on the Diocese of Nashville's list in 11/2021.

Named publicly as accused on the Diocese's list 8/21/2018. Worked in Glendive, Jordan, Poplar and Great Falls. Died 12/10/1967 at age 50.

Taught at Dowling Catholic 27 years. Allegation in 2003 of "decades-old" abuse, but insufficient evidence to conclude sex abuse, per diocese in 2018. Accused in 2005 suit of kneading and fondling the buttocks of 15-year-old boy at a diocesan high school, and of exposing himself to the boy while talking about "receiving the Body of Christ." Suit filed after diocesan board determined insufficient evidence. Board recommended Kenkel take "appropriate boundaries" training, which he did. Kept in parish ministry. Retired 2008. Diocesan Website on 8/3/2013 showed him living in West Des Moines; possibly still working as supply priest. Report to diocese 9/6/2018 of child sex abuse by Kenkel decades prior. Reportedly living in 2018 in a nursing facility. Included on the diocese's list 4/4/2019. It notes one substantiated allegation of abuse of a boy, occurring in the early 1980s, and unsubstantiated allegations in 2003 and 2005.

Named publicly as accused by the Santa Barbara Province Franciscans on its list 5/31/2019. It notes alleged sexual abuse of a minor 1962-1964, reported in 1991. Assigned to the Academy of American Franciscan History in Washington DC at the time of the alleged abuse. Died in 1991.

Professed vows as a Marianist brother, Province of St. Louis, in 1947. Worked in TX, MO, IL. Died 4/22/1995. Included on the U.S. Province Marianists' list 6/24/2020 of members "found to have sexually abused a minor."

Placed on leave in 1991 and sent for treatment after allegations of abuse of young boys. Paid $20K in 1994 to settle sexual abuse charge. Removed from public ministry in 2002. Named in at least three suits filed in 2003 and 2004. One plaintiff was included in a 2004 settlement with the Diocese. Laicization announced 12/01/2006. One claim was settled as part of a $4.5M settlement in 11/2008. Reportedly died 11/2/2018. Included on the Diocese's list of credibly accused.

First named publicly as accused by the diocese on its 11/13/18 list of priests credibly accused of sexual misconduct with a minor or vulnerable adult. Died 10/18/90. Named in lawsuit(s) in 8/19 under the NY Child Victims Act.

Named publicly as accused by the Diocese on its list 3/29/2019. Noted to be the subject of a settlement. Died 6/9/2017. Per his obituary, Kennedy was assigned in Columbia, Sumter, Charleston, North Charleston, Bonneau and Moncks Corner. Further, he later took a leave of absence and worked in "the alcohol and drug field" for 21 years.

Named as accused in the CO Attorney General's report released 10/23/2019. Allegation received in 9/2019 that Kennedy sexually abused a boy, ages 13-15, during 1967-1969. The priest was assigned to St. Mary's in Montrose at the time of the alleged abuse. He is said to have wrestled with altar boys, one at a time, on a mattress behind a curtain in the church basement. His accuser said that Kennedy would grab him and grind his genitals against him. Kennedy retired in 2011. He was assisting at a Pueblo parish when accused. Removed.

First named publicly as accused by the diocese on its 11/13/18 list of priests credibly accused of sexual misconduct with a minor or vulnerable adult. Died 8/11/79.

Included on the diocese's 7/2008 list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse. Accused of abuse of two minor males and a minor female. Earliest claimed date of abuse was 1960. Died in 1989.

Worked in WI, NE, MA, SD, Nairobi Kenya. Nicknamed "the Monkey Priest" because he carried around a monkey hand puppet. Named publicly as accused by the Omaha archdiocese on its list 11/30/2018. Allegation noted to have been received in 2012 of abuse 1985-1987. Reportedly there were eight allegations of child sexual abuse. Per the NE Attorney General's report in 11/2021, in 1985 Kenney asked a boy age 13 or 14, to show him his penis size. Another man alleged that when he was a freshman at Creighton Prep, Kenney called him into confession and told him to lock the door and show him his penis to see if it was developing adequately. Kenney also reportedly stalked the boy. Removed in 1989 from Creighton Prep after a parent filed a report with Child Protective services. Removed in 2002. Included on the Jesuits Midwest Province list 12/17/2018. It notes multiple allegations of abuse, occurring while assigned to Creighton Prep 1980-1987. Permanently removed from public ministry. Living in a Jesuit community from 2003. Twelve more men told a newspaper reporter in 2019 that Kenney abused them as Creighton Prep students, with the same modus operandi. The Province's 2/21/2020 revised list shows years of alleged abuse while at Creighton Prep as 1978-1987. Laicized 11/3/2020.

"Jack." Named publicly as credibly accused by the Diocese in on its list 8/22/2019. Accused in a 2006 lawsuit of sexually abusing a teenage boy while assigned to St. Joseph's Cathedral 1962-1965. Settled. Removed from ministry in 2006. Age 91 and living in West Glover in 8/2019.

Name sometimes spelled Kenny. Accused of abuse in 1976-1977. Appears on both the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the Diocese of Orange lists of accused priests. Subsequently abused in the Diocese of Baker in Oregon. Civil suits filed Los Angeles and Baker. Died 7/24/1977.

Named publicly as accused by the Archdiocese on its list 12/14/2018. Accused in 2002 by two people of abuse in the late 1940s - early 1950s. Died in 2001. The Archdiocese stated it realized in 2018 that it knew in 1985 of allegations of abuse in the early 1950s. Included in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General's Report. It shows that the 1985 allegation was of a girl, ages 4-8, and that the victim knew that others were also abused. Kenney was kept in ministry and retired in 1987. The 2002 allegations were of abuse a girl, age 12 or 13, in the late 1940s, and of a 14-year-old girl in 1952-1953. In 2019 a man, who was related to Kenney, reported that the priest abused his sister and cousin as children in the 1960s, and another man said Kenney sexually abused him at age 5 in the 1960s. In 2021 a woman told the A.G. that Kenney abused her when she was age 4-5 in the late 1940s - early 1950s, and that it went on into her teenage years. She said he also abused her cousin.

One of 12 priests named as abusers in a lawsuit filed in 9/2002 against the Boston Archdiocese, Cardinal Law and others. The suit alleges that church officials failed to respond to complaints of sexual abuse, protected the perpetrators and sought to cover up the evidence. Kenney died in 1992. No information on victims or when abuse occurred. The 8/2011 Boston archdiocese list reported no formal determination of guilt either because Kenney died prior to a canonical investigation or it was not complete at his death. (Name on list is Joseph F.; other sources show his name as Joseph W.)

Worked in Brazil 18 years, then Baltimore, Washington DC and New York. May have been at an Opa Locka FL parish 1993-94 as Fr. John 'Kenning', C.Ss.R. In 1989 a teenage girl told her mother Kennington sexually abused her and her younger brother 1984-87, beginning when the girl was 11 and the boy was 8. Kennington was a close family friend who stepped in to help the mother after a divorce, including with childcare. They attended the Manhattan parish where he was assigned. The brother filed suit in 1993, settled in 2001. The sister could not sue, due to NY statute of limitations. Kennington was sent around 1995 to Order's monastery in Esopus, NY, assigned to archive Shroud of Turin research. He was honored in 2009 on the 50th anniversary of his ordination. Living in Brooklyn by 2010. Still active in 2016. Named in new lawsuit 2/19.

Monsignor. Longtime Director of boys, ages 6-13, at St. Michael's Home in Staten Island. Died in 1981. Accused in a lawsuit in 2020 of sexually abusing a minor 1970-1971 at St. Michael's Home.

Monsignor. Named publicly as accused by the Archdiocese on its list 4/24/2019. Allegation received in 2017 of sex abuse in the early 1980s. Army chaplain 1941-1967, parish priest. Pastor of St. Mary's in Pylesville 1968-1985.  Retired in 1985. Died in 1999. Included in the MD Attorney General's Report 4/5/2023. It notes that the Archdiocese was informed in 1982 Kenny French kissed an adult woman without her consent, then did the same thing with her 16-year-old daughter, greatly upsetting the daughter.

Accused in a 1995 civil lawsuit of giving adolescent boys full body oil massages in the rectory of Sacred Heart Parish. The incidents occurred in 1992 and 1993. The claims were later settled for an undisclosed amount after underlying suits were dismissed by the Court and Appeals Court. The Diocese said that Kenshol's behavior was "immature and inappropriate, indicating poor judgment but nothing more." He was allowed to return to ministry. Kenshol retired to senior priest status in 2013 and died 12/19/2022. Included in the MI Attorney General's 12/15/2025 Diocese of Grand Rapids Report. Per the report, one alleged victim said the priest asked him during a massage if he wanted to take off his underwear. Two said Kenshol asked them to massage him, and that vibrators were used.

Given name Margaret Agnes. Took first vows in 1938. Accused in a 2005 suit by a woman of abuse when she was a child 1962-1967. Two more women filed suit in 2006. They claim the order knew Kent was mentally ill and had behaved questionably with children. Allegedly abused in Chicago IL and MN. Died in 2003. In 4/2007 a Court dismissed one suit due to the statute of limitations, parts of a second and left the third intact. Court of Appeals upheld the dismissal 4/30/2008. Claims settled in 9/2008. Two women received $400K. Other accusers have come forward. Accused in a lawsuit filed in Winona MN in 4/2016 of the sexual abuse of two minors 1958-1961.

Spent five years as a missionary, mostly in Peru. One of 16 priests named for the first time in lawsuits filed in 1/2003 by 70 plaintiffs. Accused of fondling a teenage boy at St. Rose of Lima in Chelsea MA. The Archdiocese did not place him on leave until 8/2003 because it said the lawsuit did not contain enough information to justify removal. Accuser received a six-figure settlement; Keohan was exonerated by the Review Board and returned to active status in 3/2005. Per the 8/2011 Boston archdiocese's list, Keohan was retired with no restrictions. He died 9/12/2015.

A woman alleged in a lawsuit that her father abused her and she acquired multiple personality disorder, and that she was molested by Keohane 1967-70 when she sought counseling from him. She claimed repressed memory until 1987. Suit dismissed on SOL by US District Court in Tulsa; she appealed. The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in 2/92 that her diagnosis did not stop the SOL because she knew she had psychological problems but still graduated from college with honors and ran own business for years. Keohane died in 1/99.

Koehane was placed on administrative leave in 3/2011 after an old allegation surfaced during a review of his personnel file. He was accused of abusing a 17-year-old girl in the late 1970s, while assigned to Church of the Epiphany. The Archdiocese said the allegation was credible and needed further investigation. D.A. was informed. Keohane denied the allegation.

Resigned in 3/1982 to marry. Accused of the sexual abuse of both boys and girls. Accused in 2002 of kissing and fondling an 11-year-old girl in the 1960s, then "sex" after she graduated high school. Included in a 10/2003 $8M Archdiocesan settlement with 15 individuals who alleged abuse by 12 different priests. Included on the Archdiocese's 3/2006 list of those with substantiated allegations against them. Laicized in 11/2008. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report.

On 1/12/2013, the Order announced that Keppel had been removed after it had received (in summer 2012) an allegation of sexual misconduct involving a teenage boy in the San Bernardino Diocese in the late 1970s. The boy was not a member of either Our Lady of the Lake or St. Anne's in the Mountains where Keppel was assigned for many years. The Diocese investigated and both the Diocese and Order found reasonable cause to believe that the behavior did occur. Sentenced in 2012 by the Vatican to a life of prayer and penance. Included on the Diocese's list 10/9/2018. On the Mobile Archdiocese's list 12/6/2018, which notes "misconduct" occurring 1977-1981; it doesn't say where. Worked at some point at Resurrection parish in Montgomery. On the Stockton diocese's 11/12/2020 list, noting he was a visiting priest at Mammoth Lakes during Lent 2012. Included on the Resurrectionists' list of credibly accused 10/27/2021.

Named publicly by the Diocese on its 3/20/18 list as removed, retired, or having left ministry after allegations of the  sexual abuse of a minor. Listed as having died in 2011; diocesan list includes deceased priests only if they have more than one allegation. Listed in the 1988 Official Catholic Directory as working at St. Bridget's in Bergen NY. In 4/2018 a 68-year-old man alleged publicly that Keppeler abused him and other boys at Notre Dame High School, where the priest was Dean of Boys. Accused in a lawsuit filed 8/14/2019 of molesting a 14-year-old at All Saints in Buffalo in 1957. Another 8/14/2019 suit claims Kepeller sexually abused a 16-year-old Notre Dame High School student in 1972. Accused in a 7/2021 lawsuit of sexually abusing a boy, ages 10-15, during 1985-1990 while assigned to St. Brigid. The plaintiff also alleged that Auxiliary Bishop Grosz groped him repeatedly in 1990 after his confirmation ceremony at the parish, and that Grosz commented to Keppeler that he was right about the boy's good looks.

First named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Regional director for three CYO groups, chaplain for Appalachian Trail Scouting Council. In 1985-1986 parishioners wrote to Bishop Welsh with concerns about Kerestus' close and inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old boy. In 10/1992 an 18-year-old male told the diocese that Kerestus sexually abused him for five years. Assessed by St. John Vianney Center in 2005 to be in the "moderate-high range" for "sexual re-offense." A third man reported in 4/2016 that Kerestus abused him 1975-1980 when the man was a 15-year-old Holy Name High School student in West Reading. Removed in 2002, given retirement status. Died in 2014. A 7/2020 lawsuit claims abuse of a boy, ages 11-18, in the 1970s-early 1980s. At least one settlement.

Named publicly as accused by the Crosier Order on its list 12/6/2023. Worked in MN, IN, IL, FL. Died 4/5/1989. Allegation received after Kerich's death. No information as to when or where the alleged abuse occurred.

Suspended from public ministry and contact with minors after accused of inappropriately texting a student at Kennedy Catholic High School, where he was chaplain. Law enforcement was investigating. Name included on Erie diocese's list released 4/6/2018.

Kern sexually abused a boy in 1977 in a seminary swimming pool. In 1993 his victim went to the the vicar general and learned that Archdiocese had a file on Kern dating back to 1969, when he was accused of grabbing the genitals of two boys. He was transferred after the boys' mothers complained. The man filed a lawsuit which later settled. There are reportedly other accusers. Kern was supposed to never to work in another parish, but he was an active parish priest until 2002 when he took medical disability leave. Sued in 11/2013. In a 4/2014 deposition, Kern denied that his actions constituted abuse but that it consisted of nonsexual horseplay, hugging and wrestling. He also said that the Archdiocese never warned him that he could go to jail for his actions and never disciplined him. His name in 2013 was included on the Archdiocese's list of credibly accused.

A man filed a report with the Santa Fe police in 1997 alleging abuse by Fr. Kerr and Br. Dennis Huff at St. Catherine Indian School. Allegedly Kerr (a teacher) fondled him once in 1980 or 1981 and Huff raped him several times in the early 1980s. Kerr was working in the Cincinnati archdiocese in the late 1980s. He left the priesthood in the early 1990s. In 1997 he was was living in Houston, TX. He died in 4/2018. Included on the Franciscans' St. John the Baptist Province list of those with substantiated allegations against them. Added to the Gallup diocese's list of credibly accused in 11/2021. Included in 2/2022 on the Cincinnati archdiocese's list. Added to the Archdiocese of Santa Fe's list 2/19/2024.

Br. Ricardo/Richard. Joined the Xaverians in 1932. Accused in a 9/22/1994 demand letter of sexually abusing a student who had been injured during hazing at St. John's Prep, where Bro. Ricardo was Headmaster. Alleged to have orally sodomized the boy in the school infirmary. Previously worked at a High School in the Worcester diocese, and was later an education official at the US Catholic Conference in the Washington DC archdiocese. Also worked in Boston as a family counselor. Died 9/19/1997. Omitted from the 2011 Boston AD database. Included on the order's list 7/12/2019. It notes allegations reported in 1994 and later of abuse in Danvers, MA in the mid-late 1960s. Died in 1997.

Included on the Helena diocese's list posted to its website 4/29/2015 in compliance with the non-monetary terms of the 3/5/2015 bankruptcy settlement. Accused of sexually abusing at least one minor. Had spent time in treatment at the Servants of the Paraclete in Jemez Springs NM. Disappeared 7/21/1984, the day he was scheduled to begin as pastor at a new parish. His car and bloody clothing were found shortly after his disappearance. Presumed dead 7/21/1984. Kerrigan's remains were never found, as of 1/2026.

Accused of abusing a female minor beginning in 1954, while chaplain and instructor at Ottumwa Heights College. Kerrigan was also pastor of St. Mary's in Eddyville. Laicized in 1975. Died in 1988. Included on the diocese's list in 5/2009 of credibly accused.

Principal of Cardinal Gibbons High School when suspended in 6/2002 due to allegations of abuse in the 1980s. Allegedly grabbed a student's buttocks. Two male teachers also complained that he groped them. Cleared by the Review Board in 12/2002 and returned him to active ministry. He then retired because of health problems. Named in a civil suit filed late 2009 or early 2010 in FL.

A lawsuit filed in 8/2005 alleged the sexual abuse of a 13-year-old boy in 1981 at All Saints in St. Peter's, MO. Kertz was reportedly transferred several weeks after the 1981 incident. Another suit filed in 5/2006 claimed abuse 1976-1979 at the same parish. Kertz died in 1985. In 11/2008 the MO Appeals Court dismissed the 2005 suit due to the statute of limitations. Included on the Archdiocese's 7/26/2019 list of accused. Allegations substantiated.

First named publicly as accused on on the Erie diocese's list 4/6/2018. Included in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Accused sometime before 3/1989 of the sexual abuse of two boys in Mobile AL, where he was visiting friends. Sent to treatment at Guest House in MN, St. Luke's in MD, then on "Health Leave" at St. Patrick's/St. Hedwig Cluster in Erie 6/1990-7/1990. Criminally charged in 2/1990. Pleaded guilty. Fined $15,000. Suspended 11/1998-2004. Laicized in 2004. Added to the Buffalo diocese's list in 11/2018. Faculty member at St. Bonaventure University 1977-1984.

Kettner's name was included on the diocese's list 3/22/2019 of clergy on whose behalf settlements were paid related to allegations of sexual abuse of minors. The allegations against Kettner were deemed not credible. He was accused of sexually abusing two girls, ages 7-8, in 1979 and 1970. He died 3/6/2002.

Assigned to parishes in Queens, Bellmore, Elmont, Greenlawn. Retired in 1989. Died 5/22/92. Accused in a lawsuit filed 6/12/19 of sexually abusing a girl, age 5 or 6, in 1970, while Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi in Greenlawn. The abuse allegedly occurred while the girl was attending a neighbor's son's First Communion celebration in Greenlawn. Keyes allegedly isolated the girl, then sexually assaulted her.

Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its revised list 11/30/18. Pastor for 30 years of St. William's in Troy until 6/99. Per list, removed 1999. Died 3/26/05.

As part of Section 13.1, Non-Monetary Commitments, of the Society of Jesus, Oregon Province, Reorganization Plan (dated 7/18/2011) the Province agreed to post on its website the names of all members of the Province who are identified as perpetrators of sexual abuse in proofs of claims filed in the bankruptcy case, and who have not denied the allegation. Keys' name is included on this list. Died 1/6/2005. Included on the Jesuits West Province list 12/7/2018. It notes claims in 2009 of abuse 1956-1964.

Visiting priest from Kenya. Kiarie (also spelled Kiare in some news reports) was arrested in 6/02 on charges of sexually abusing a 12-year-old boy during an outing at a park. Kiarie was in New York on a speaking tour to raise money for Kenya churches. The boy told his mom Kiarie molested him; she told church officials, who told DA. In 8/02 Kiarie rejected a plea bargain that would have given him 90 days in jail, and demanded a trial. Jury found him not guilty in 4/03. Kiarie said he would return to Kenya immediately.

Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 1/17/19. Noted to have a single substantiated allegation of abuse, occurring 1969-71, reported after his death. Died in 1992.

 In 6/2014 the diocese received a report that at least one boy was abused by Kiefer at Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School (formerly North Catholic High) between 1956-1962. Kiefer married in 1970 and died in 2012 in Dayton OH. In 2014 he is one of 9 Marianists accused of abuse at Cardinal Wuerl since initial announcement of abuse by Br. Bernard Hoffman.

Accused in 2002 of sexually abusing a 16-year-old boy in 1963 at St. John's in Burlington. Also worked in the Kansas City, KS archdiocese. Died in 1990. Allegations deemed credible. Included on diocese's 7/2008 list of credibly accused. Allegedly abused two boys.

Monsignor. Named publicly as accused on the diocese's list 1/17/19. Noted to have multiple substantiated allegations against him of abuse in the 1950s. Died in 1967.

Kiesle had a long history of sexually abusing boys and girls. He was convicted in 1978 and sentenced to three years' probation on charges of lewd conduct for tying up and sexually abusing two boys. He was allowed by the Diocese in 1979 to work as a fill-in priest in a Windsor CA parish. He left the priesthood in 1981 and was laicized in 1987. In the mid-1980s he was a volunteer youth minister at St. Joseph's in Pinole. He was arrested in 2002 on 13 counts of child molestation; all but two charges were dropped in 2003 due to the statute of limitations. Sentenced in 2004 to six years in prison for the sexual abuse of a girl in 1995. He may have abused at least ten girls. Kiesle said that if girls said abuse happened then he was sure it did. In 2009 he was released from prison, then lived in Walnut Creek, CA as a registered sex offender. Multiple civil lawsuits were filed. Two more suits with seven accusers were filed in 8/2010. Accused in a 10/2018 lawsuit against the Vatican of the abuse 1972-1974 of a girl, ages 11-13. Included on the Diocese's list in 2019. A lawsuit in 12/2019 alleges abuse of boy, age 10-11, in the 1970s. At least 60 legal claims in the Diocese of Oakland against Kiesle were filed during a "lookback window" which lifted the statute of limitations in 2020 for three years. A suit filed on 3/2/2020 claims abuse a of 5-year-old boy for over a year in Pinole in 1985. Accused in two 2/2021 suits, of abusing a girl in one and a boy in the other, 1972-1975, in Pinole. A lawsuit filed against the Diocese in 1/2022 claims abuse 1972-1975 of a young boy in Pinole. Kiesle would give the boy wine, then molest him. The victim's adult children filed the lawsuit; their father had filed suit in 3/2020, but he died a few days later of cirrhosis and the suit was dismissed. Kiesle was arrested in 4/2022, charged with killing a pedestrian while driving drunk. He pleaded no contest in 12/2023. Sentenced to 6 years and 8 months in state prison. In 4/2026 an Oakland jury awarded $16M to the man who filed suit in 2019.
