Ordained for the Archdiocese of Boston in 1945. Auxiliary Bishop of Boston 1972-1976. Appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Springfield MA in 1976. Bishop of Springfield 1977-1991. Died in 2014. Accused in a 7/2026 lawsuit of sexually assaulting a 4- to 5-year old boy in 1973 or 1974, at Brightside, which was a residential home for children in West Springfield. The boy was a resident. Per the plaintiff, he was put in a closet as punishment when, on one occasion, Maguire came in and sodomized him; another time Maguire allegedly forced the boy to perform oral sex in a pool changing room. The suit also names Bishop Christopher Weldon.

Joined his Order in 1952. Named publicly as accused in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General's Report. Accused in 8/2018 of sexually abusing a male Calvert Hall College High Student in the late 1970s. Morgan was Dean of Discipline at the school and later taught typing. The boy was a swim team member and said Morgan would make the boys swim naked, and that Morgan grabbed and fondled his genitals. Another former student said in 2019 that Morgan would watch the students strip down for swim class. A former teacher said Morgan would swim naked with the boys, and that he would throw typewriters at students during typing class. Included in 12/2024 on the Archdiocese of Baltimore's list of accused.

Named publicly as accused by the St. John the Baptist Franciscans on its list 6/18/2022 of those with substantiated allegations. No information as to when and where the abuse occurred, so we are placing him in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, where the Province is based. He died in 1992. Per his obituary, Malloy joined the Franciscans in 1938 and made his solemn vows in 1948. He worked in Southfield MI, Louisville KY, and in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati OH.

Also known as Joseph. Named publicly as accused in 4/2022 by Attorney Mitchell Garabedian. Accused in a lawsuit that settled of sexually abusing a girl, ages 13-14, in 1977-1979. McBarron was assigned to St. Mary's in Newark NJ during the time in question. He died in 1987.

In 6/2023 the Bishop Brennan announced that McHugh had been removed from ministry after a substantiated allegation of the sexual abuse of a minor, occurring in the 1980s. McHugh was investigated after the Diocese received a report 3/27/2025. He was added to the Diocese's 7/3/2025 list of credibly accused.

"Ray." Parish priest, Navy chaplain. Retired in 2001. Died 4/19/2005. Included in the 6/25/2026 MI Attorney General's Diocese of Saginaw Report. The Diocese received a report in 8/2007 from a woman who said that Ramon was "inappropriate" with her beginning when she was age 14. The Diocese approved up to ten counseling sessions for the woman. The Review Board deemed the allegation not credible.

Named publicly in 4/2019 by Franciscan University of Steubenville as credibly accused, after the University's review of cases of unwanted sexual advances against students by clergy since the late 1960s. Mulkern died in 2016.

From Northern Ireland, where he was ordained in 1923 then sent to the U.S. Worked at St Columban's in NE 1923-1924 and St. Columban's in Silver Creek NY 1924-1930. He then returned to Ireland on sick leave 1930-1938. While there he worked in parishes and as a chaplain. Sent back to the U.S. in 1938. Known to have worked in CA, NY and Silver Creek NY, where he died in 1977. Named publicly as credibly accused by the Columbans' U.S. Province on its list in 2/2022 (name spelled "McCourt.") A single allegation is noted, of abuse in 1940. Per the Official Catholic Directory, MacCourt was assigned in 1940 to St. Columban's in San Diego CA.

In Summer 2021 the Diocese of Cheyenne informed parishioners that Macklin,age 85, had been credibly accused of abusing a minor in the Diocese of Corpus Christi and was restricted from public ministry. Macklin worked in the Cheyenne diocese 2004-2015. He was ordained late in life, in 1995. The bio for a book of stories and poems he authored describes Eckley as "an African American folk singer....public radio host...park ranger...priest...college missionary to the American Indians in Wyoming." In 8/2024 Macklin's name appears on the Archdiocese of Hartford's list under "...credibly accused...residing in the Archdiocese of Hartford without permission."

Died in 2007. Named publicly as credibly accused by the Diocese on its list in 2024.

Magaldi was ordained for the Diocese of Providence in 1960. He left Providence in 1988 after claims of financial mismanagement. He was accepted into the Diocese of Ft. Worth by Bishop Delaney in 1990. In 1992 he pleaded guilty to embezzlement in Rhode Island, then returned to ministry in Ft. Worth after eight months in a halfway house. In 1997 a young man alleged told the Ft. Worth Diocese that Magaldi would pay him to give him enemas.  Magaldi was still active until 1999, after an allegation that he raped a boy and paid the boy to give him enemas in the 1970s, while Magaldi was assigned in Rhode Island. The accuser filed suit in 1998; it was dropped when he died in 10/2000. Magaldi was removed briefly from ministry by Fr. Worth in 1999, was reinstated, then removed permanently in 2001. He was HIV positive. Laicization was requested. He died in 8/2008. Another claim settled 8/21/2012 in Ft. Worth.  In 2017 a man claimed in a lawsuit that Magaldi sexually abused him in RI beginning when he was about age 7 in 1965. Included 7/1/2019 on the Providence diocese's list of credibly accused. A lawsuit filed in 9/2019 claimed abuse of a boy, ages 12-17, in the late 1970s-early 1980s, while Magaldi was pastor of St. Anthony's in Providence. The suit was dismissed, the judge ruling that church leadership cannot be labeled "perpetrators." The RI Supreme Court affirmed the ruling in 6/2023. The plaintiff also filed suit NY in 10/2020 claiming Magaldi sexually abused him during a trip to NYC in 1983; the suit was dismissed. Included in the 2/4/2026 RI Attorney General's Report, which notes that Magaldi has been accused of the sexual abuse of nine boys. His modus operandi is said to have involved targeting vulnerable, at-risk boys, lavishing them with gifts and money and threatening them. His known victims were as young as age 7 through early adulthood, and the sexual abuse included rape. 

Studied at Oblate Scholasticate at Albano, Italy. Ordained in Rome in 1925. Assigned in 1926 to Northeast Catholic High School in Philadelphia PA while assisting at St. Anthony's in Wilmington DE on weekends. Superior and principal in 1931-1937 of Salesianum School in DE. Returned to Northeast Catholic; appointed superior of his order's community there in 1943. Superior and principal of Bishop Duffy High School in Niagara Falls NY 1949-1956, then administrator of Mother of Sorrows Parish in Centreville MD 1956-1969. Chaplain to Our Lady of Grace Home in Ogletown DE briefly in 1970. Died 2/22/1971. Accused in a 6/2024 lawsuit by a woman, age 74, of sexually abusing her and another girl at Our Mother of Sorrows in 1960. She was 10 years-old. Per the lawsuit, Mahoney invited her and three other girls to help him count the Sunday offering after mass. The priest then took her and another girl to his room in the rectory and sexually assaulted each of them, silencing them by threatening eternal damnation.

Mahoney was removed from ministry in 11/2021 after the Diocesan Review Board determined that allegations against him were credible. In 10/2020 the Diocese received an allegation that Mahoney sexually abused a child 1975-1978 while assigned to St. Martin of Tours. He was also accused in a 4/2021 lawsuit of abusing a boy, ages 12-13, in 1963-1964 while he was principal at the Church of St. Leonard of Port Maurice School. Mahoney died 1/21/2024. Included on the Diocese's list of accused.

Two men filed civil suits in 1992 and 1993 against the Diocese and Mahoney. The first plaintiff claimed Mahoney "assaulted, battered and raped" him 1981-1983 as a child at an elementary school in South Bend; the second claimed abuse 1970-1972 at a school in Mishawaka. The suits were dismissed in 12/1993 and 2/1994 "with prejudice." No reasons were provided. Resigned from ministry 6/15/1993. Laicized 7/25/2006. Included on the Diocese's 9/18/2018 list, which notes four credible allegations.

Monsignor. Named publicly as accused in the MI Attorney General's 12/15/2025 Diocese of Grand Rapids Report. The Diocese knew in 1997 of allegations that Maksymowski sexually abused a 7th-8th grade altar boy in the late 1960s. Maksymowski was pastor 1935-1970 of St. Adalbert's Basilica.

"Pericles." From the Archdiocese of Davao City, Philippines. Assigned to parishes in the Wheeling-Charleston diocese 1993-2009. Retired and living in Beckley WV when arrested in 7/2022, charged with "involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16, corruption of minors and indecent assault of a person younger than 16." The abuse allegedly occurred over a five-year period, beginning ten years previously. Malacaman's accuser, a family member, was age 19 in 7/2022 when he came forward to police, and said he was abused from ages 9-14. In 2022 Malacaman was 84. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced in 8/2023 to 3-6 years in prison.

Placed on leave in 6/2002 after recent allegations Mancuso sexually abused a girl over two years in the late 1960s, beginning when she was 14 and Macuso was a seminarian. Mancuso admitted to "some misconduct." The case could not be criminally prosecuted due to the statute of limitations. Mancuso initially told his parish that he was leaving for a short time to undergo surgery, but it was announced three weeks later that he had been removed because of the allegation. Included in 11/2015 on the Diocese's list of credibly accused.

Per Attorney Jeff Anderson in 4/21, Manfred was accused in a lawsuit filed under the NY Child Victims Act of sexually abusing a minor in 1971.

Monsignor. Named publicly as credibly accused by the Fresno diocese on its list in 2021. Worked in Bakersfield, Tehachapi, and Sangor, where he was pastor 1946 to 1953. Pastor of Star of the Sea in Santa Cruz 1953 until his retirement in 1974, per the Official Catholic Directory. Appears to have lived the last few years of his life in the Diocese of Tucson, AZ. Died 5/24/1985.

Arrested in 3/2025, charged with the sexual abuse of an altar boy 1991-1994 at St. Agnes Parish, beginning when the boy was in second grade at St. Agnes Parish School. Mannion's accuser filed a police report in 10/2023. Mannion allegedly told the boy that God would punish him if he didn't comply and that his little brother and parents would go to hell. (In 1993 Mannion reported to the Archdiocese allegations that teacher John Merzbacher had sexually abused a girl, after Mannion's victim, then an adult, confided in him. Merzbacher was convicted and died in prison in 2023.) Mannion left the priesthood in the late 1990s, married and raised a family. He was reportedly laicized in 2004. Trial scheduled for 2/10/2026.

Deacon. Assigned to St. Anthony of Padua in West Harrison and was the Archdiocese's Associate Secretary for Education when removed in 8/2003, accused of sexually abusing a minor in the early 1980s. Manzione was principal of Sacred Heart Parish School in Newburgh at the time of the alleged abuse. His laicization was announced in 9/2005. Included on the Archdiocese's 4/26/2019 list of credibly accused.

Ordained for the Diocese of Grand Rapids. Became a priest of the Diocese of Gaylord when it was established in 1971. First named publicly as credibly accused by the Diocese of Gaylord on its list 11/10/2018. Removed from ministry in 1981. Died in 2000. Included in the MI Attorney General's 1/8/2024 Gaylord report. Per the report, in 8/2007 a woman told the Diocese that Marciulionis sexually abused her in the early 1980s, when she was in fifth through eighth grades. She said the abuse occurred in his car, his bedroom, the confessional and in the rectory. She said he also sexually abused her siblings, and that the abuse ended after a sister told their mother. Police investigated and Marciulionis was removed from the parish several weeks later. Included in the MI Attorney General's 12/15/2025 Diocese of Grand Rapids report. In 5/2020 the A.G.'s office received a report from a woman that she and her two sisters were sexually abused by Marciulionis, beginning in 1969 when the woman was age 8. She was the eldest of the three girls. The abuse started after their father died and the girls slept over at the rectory at night while their mother worked. 

Suspended in 2/2019 by the Archdiocese after it received an allegation that Marcotte sexually abused a teenage boy in 2016. Criminally charged in 10/2019 with child solicitation, vicarious sexual gratification, and dissemination of matter harmful to minors. The Archdiocese was sued in 7/2020 by its insurance company for failure to disclose the allegations. Marcotte pleaded guilty in 3/2022 to the of dissemination of matter harmful to minors. Plea deal rejected by a judge in 4/2022. Sentenced in a plea deal in 11/2022 to a year of home detention followed by 18 months' probation. He was not required to register as a sex offender. 

Ordained for the Diocese of Piedras Negras in Mexico. Incardinated into the Diocese of Laredo TX in 2022. On 11/27/2025 the Laredo Diocese announced that Mares had been suspended in 7/2025 due to allegations of the sexual abuse of a minor, occurring 18 years prior in Mexico.

Monsignor. Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi in Astoria when accused in a lawsuit filed in summer 2021 under the NY Child Victims Act of a child, age 7, over 30 years previously, while assigned to St. Edmund in Brooklyn.

In 2006 Maresh exposed himself to a woman and her children, a boy age 2 and a girl age 4, who were walking near an elementary school. The incident happened when Maresh opened his car door and said something to the woman. He was later arrested and pleaded guilty to public indecency. He was sentenced to 50 hours of community service, 30 days in jail and a $250 fine. After treatment at St. Luke Institute in MD he was returned in 2008 to public ministry. Included in the NE A.G.'s 11/2021 report. He remained in active ministry in 2/2026.

From Colombia. In 12/2019 the Diocese announced credible allegations against Marin-Cardona involving a minor. In 9/2019 the child's parents expressed concern to the Diocese. Marin-Cardona was was placed on leave and sent to an "adult facility." Charged in 1/2020 with child sexual abuse. The abuse occurred in 2014 and 2016 while Marin-Cardona was assigned to Our Lady of Guadalupe in Danbury, involving two boys. Marin-Cordona admitted to touching one of the boys on his groin multiple times over four years; his victim said the abuse started when he was age 12. The priest also admitted to touching the buttocks of the other boy. Pleaded not guilty in 2/2020. Allegations substantiated by the Dept. of Children and Families. Included on the Diocese's list 1/22/2020. Pleaded guilty to revised charges. Sentenced in 10/2022 to ten years in jail, suspended after one year, and five years' probation. Per the CT Sex Offender Registry updated in 12/2024, Marin-Cordona was living in Colombia. 

From Ireland, where he was ordained in 1952 for the Diocese of Clogher. Assigned in Ireland, England, and in the U.S. in NM, MN, and IN. Suspended at least three times and in treatment four times. Sent to the the Servants of the Paracete in Jemez Springs NM for sex offender treatment 1981. Worked with the Paracletes for some time before being sent to work in New Ulm. Arrested in 11/2009 at age 81 in South Bend IN on a warrant from Ireland. Charges were relate to the rape of a 15-year-old boy in Ireland in 1968.  Extradited to Ireland in 2010. Died in 9/2012 while awaiting trial. Named in civil suits against the New Ulm Diocese and Paracletes in 1/2011, 12/2013 and 2/2014 (includes Diocese's counter-suit against the Irish diocese in 3/2014.) Markey's name was included on a New Ulm list released by Attorney Jeff Anderson 08/04/2014. The names were from a deposition of Rev. Francis Garvey, a former top New Ulm Diocese official, taken in 1/2014.

Named publicly as credibly accused in 8/18 by the St. Vincent Archabbey Benedictines in Latrobe PA. The Archabbey received multiple allegations in 2002 that Markiewicz sexually abused minors 1966-1971, while assigned to St. Vincent's Preparatory School in Latrobe. He was removed from active ministry in 2002 and died 10/10/19.

Suspended in 11/2024 pending the investigation of an allegation of the sexual abuse of a minor. Marren denied wrongdoing. He was reinstated one week later after the Archdiocese's Review Board found the allegation to be unsubstantiated.

Transferred to Canada in 1966 from Chicago. Charged in 2003 with 20 counts of lewd acts upon child under age 14 1959-1963, while working in Los Angeles. At least three accusers there. The District Attorney was attempting to extradite as of 2003. Named in a 12/2003 civil suit. In residence at the Paulist Centre for Catholic Evangelization in Toronto, ON, Canada, per the Paulist website accessed 9/19/2009. Included on the Buffalo diocese's list updated 11/5/2018. On the Paulists' list 3/8/2019. It notes allegations reported 2002, 2003, 2008 and 2018, of abuse in Los Angeles 1959-1960, 1960-1962, 1961-1962; 1956 and 1959 in Lake George NY, and in Buffalo NY in 1982. The list shows that Marshall died 12/24/2012. Included in 10/2022 on the Chicago archdiocese's list. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General's Report. Buffalo's list in 9/2025 notes that Marshall was removed from ministry and living in a nursing home outside the U.S., despite the Paulists noting his death in 2012.

Accused of sexually and physically abusing two teenage brothers while assigned to St. Andrew's in Bayonne, starting in 1978. One told a priest in 1981 and Auxiliary Bishop Pichelli in 1983, but no action. Martin held the position of Secretary to Archbishop McCarrick 1991-1993, then was returned to parish ministry. The same victim went to McCarrick with allegations in 1996 or 1997. The victim and his family got a small settlement. Martin was removed, then later assigned as a hospital chaplain. Removed again in 2002. Still a priest in 2013, without privileges, working as a train conductor for NJ Transit.  Included 2/13/2019 on the Archdiocese's list of credibly accused. Multiple alleged victims noted. Permanently removed from ministry. A new lawsuit in 7/2020 claims abuse of a boy 1981-1984, at St. Andrew's.
